I would go with Helen, shortened to Nell. Gorgeous name.

Oddly enough my mother wanted to call me Helen but was overuled by the family.

I suppose I think of Helen as a really common name from my youth

Less that 100 Helens a year for the past 10 years and steadily declining. Only 50 last year.

Helen Farrell. What could be better?

I don't like Nell on it's own, looks a bit abrupt. Both Eleanor and Helen Farrell would work very well. Otherwise Elodie Farrell has a nice rhythm.

My favourites would be Nell, Fleur and Elodie in that order. What I think goes with Farrell best would be Fleur, Elodie then Nell x

Elodie by a mile!
Xanthe isn't my favourite name, but it goes well.
Fleur Farrell is alright.
Maeve Farrell sounds like a doddery old Irish woman.
Nell Farrell isn't great. Nell is a lovely nickname but isn't enough as a standalone name, and the two double L sounds put me off further. Eleanor?

Eleanor / Helen with nn Nell would be lovely. Also think Elodie Farrell and Xanthe Farrell sound nice.

I like elodie too. I don't think Maeve flows well - it just sounds like Mae farrell to me as the v and the f kind of blend in to each other.

If you wanted Nell to be short for something, what about penelope? It's very elegant and has a similar feel to elodie... (I also agree that Helen is a name for people in their 30s!)
