Jessica or amelie?

I'm really stuck between these 2 names for my little girl - any thoughts on how popular they are and whether they'll date easily as they get older? Need help!

I prefer Jessica.

Amelie is very 'now' and is more likely to date.

Jessica. Suits all ages, nn potential Jess, Jessie. Pretty yet strong.
Amelie is pretty, but one-dimensional if that makes sense!

Jessica - it's more classic

(loads of Amelie's/Amelia's round here)

Some friends/family have said it is too common and a bit boring and unimaginative which has put me off a bit. Though on its own I think it sounds pretty when you say it.

Jessica.

Amelie and its variations are well overused these days.

Jessica. Amelie was dated 5 years ago.

I know one Jessica, she's 9 and lives in a different country, so I wouldn't say it's too popular at all. I'd use it myself if it wasn't for her! (we're related)

Amelie is very similar to Emily, and Amelia so I think you'll spend lots of time correcting people and it's very popular (and I personally don't like Amelia/variants of)

Going against the grain. I think Jessica is horrible and outdated. So 80s and 90s. I couldn't tell you how many Jessicas I went to school with.

Amelie is lovely.

I have to agree with Pluto, think Jessica is very dull (although jess is ok). Amelie is lovely but I do agree it would be the name more likely to date.
