Big sister is called Chloe, is Clover going to be too confusing?

needmymouthsewnup Wed 02-Nov-16 19:51:24

Is it for a child? Male or female?

AliceInHinterland Wed 02-Nov-16 19:52:07

It's a lovely and but I think it's too similar.

ThisPasadenaHomemaker Wed 02-Nov-16 19:52:26

Chloe and Clover does sound a tad bonkers unimaginative.

NoArtificialColours Wed 02-Nov-16 19:53:02

Yes a female baby

Good start grin

I automatically think of the margarine, as it's what I use. But not everyone does!

Chottie Wed 02-Nov-16 19:53:50

Love the name but too similar to Chloe IMO

coolaschmoola Wed 02-Nov-16 19:55:07

I like Clover in a Clover Carr way - but as the male rabbit in Sofia the First is called Clover I'm not sure I'd use it.

Plus Chloe and Clover together are, imo, too similar. They are individuals, don't make them share a single syllable, CHLO-e and CLO-ver,particularly when the inevitable teenage shortening will be Chlo/Clo for both.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen Wed 02-Nov-16 19:55:13

Noooooo, it's a cow's name or margarine.

needmymouthsewnup Wed 02-Nov-16 19:55:57

Yes a female baby

Ok. Definitely too similar then, esp as both girls, it seems a bit "twinny" ifkwim...

Creatureofthenight Wed 02-Nov-16 19:56:21

Nice name but way too similar to Chloe.

Propertyquandry Wed 02-Nov-16 19:57:32

I thought cow too. Sorry.

ScarletForYa Wed 02-Nov-16 19:57:37

Cows name OP.

Cel982 Wed 02-Nov-16 19:59:05

It's a nice name, but you can't use it with Chloe.

GiddyOnZackHunt Wed 02-Nov-16 19:59:46

I thought cow too.
Too similar to Chloe.

Sunnydawn Wed 02-Nov-16 20:00:09

I thought cow too. Sorry.

AlmaMartyr Wed 02-Nov-16 20:00:10

I love love the name Clover, it's one of my favourites. I think Chloe and Clover would be a bit much though.

Shemozzle Wed 02-Nov-16 20:00:44

I love the name Clover, it's been on my shortlist for all my pregnancies, but vetoed by DP each time. Unfortunately I think you really can't use it for Chloe's sister. Reminds me of when I worked with two boys a year apart in age called Daniel and Samuel (never shortened) used to drive me mad, and Chloe and Clover are even more similar.

NoArtificialColours Wed 02-Nov-16 20:02:00

Okay thanks all for your honesty.

Good point about them being individuals so need different sounding names. I wouldn't want a Topsy and Tim grin

Back to the drawing board..

cuntspud Wed 02-Nov-16 20:02:48

Far to similar to Chloe imo, also the first thing that springs to mind is margarine or a cow. Sorry!

IpDipCatnip Wed 02-Nov-16 20:03:20

Yes, reminds me of the Clover math advert! 😐

AliceInHinterland Wed 02-Nov-16 20:05:02

If it's any consolation you have good taste, they are nice names! I like Sophie with Chloe.

Pluto30 Wed 02-Nov-16 20:09:10

And I don't like it. Chloe is so nicer by comparison. Clover is a daft name, and reminds me of Clove Moore, the useless ex-mayor of Sydney.

Sugarpiehoneyeye Wed 02-Nov-16 21:20:58

I do like Clover, but it is rather similar.
Are you wanting a name beginning with 'C', or something else OP.

Damian Aspinall has a DD called Clary. And another called Tansy.
