Noah is my favourite name (has been for years) and DH's!

Our surname is a profession (I suppose?) so it sounds like "know a..." sad

The thing is, both names are rarely said together!

Should we go for the name we love?

I don't see why not, children will always tease one another, about something.

LucyFuckingPevensie Thu 27-Oct-16 17:49:45

Depends, if it's Plumber then no.
It's hard to say without knowing the last name ?

EssentialHummus Thu 27-Oct-16 17:50:46

Baker?

I think it's fine. If you're keen on it, go for it.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen Thu 27-Oct-16 17:51:13

Noah Taylor is fine.

BlackSnow0210 Thu 27-Oct-16 17:52:18

It's Sailor...

LucyFuckingPevensie Thu 27-Oct-16 17:52:40

Yes, Taylor is fine. I don't even think Noah Carpenter is too bad.

Aquiver Thu 27-Oct-16 17:53:19

Oh I don't like Noah Sailor I'm afraid... too nautical! sad

dailymailarecunts Thu 27-Oct-16 17:53:54

Hmmm, I have just said various professions after the name noah so am going to say no. It does sound like "know a...." when you say it like that (can see so far I'm only one who thinks this though, so feel free to ignore me! )

mudandmayhem01 Thu 27-Oct-16 17:53:56

Noah Sailor confused

Lilaclily Thu 27-Oct-16 17:54:04

Noah Sailor?

No I don't think that's a good idea, too many connotations of sea, arks etc imo

dailymailarecunts Thu 27-Oct-16 17:55:13

Cross posts, I didn't think of that profession! I'm afraid i still think it sounds wrong thoigh sad

BlackSnow0210 Thu 27-Oct-16 17:55:51

Damn sad

GinIsIn Thu 27-Oct-16 17:56:50

Sorry OP but I think it's one nautical reference too far!

dailymailarecunts Thu 27-Oct-16 18:00:36

Any of these any good instead?

Notverylucky Thu 27-Oct-16 18:01:14

It's a lovely name; but not with that surname. There's only one thing for it: you'll have to divorce him! wink

SnipSnipMrBurgess Thu 27-Oct-16 18:04:55

What about ethan? Nathan?

EsmesBees Thu 27-Oct-16 18:08:51

Another don't think so I'm afraid. How about Ezra or Luca if you like names ending in 'a'?

BlackSnow0210 Thu 27-Oct-16 18:17:51

Some lovely suggestions, so I thank you! But our second favourite name is Elliot...

Elliot Sailor confused thoughts?

I'm so sad about Noah sad

LucyFuckingPevensie Thu 27-Oct-16 19:27:14

Sorry op, I wouldn't either.
Fwiw we couldn't use my ultimate favourite name as ds initials would have been BO. I much prefer the name we actually used now and am a bit meh about my old favourite.

LucyFuckingPevensie Thu 27-Oct-16 19:27:40

Elliot is lovely.

NoahVale Thu 27-Oct-16 19:28:59

absolutely fine.

Notverylucky Thu 27-Oct-16 19:29:14

Elliot's lovely too.

NoahVale Thu 27-Oct-16 19:30:04

oh sad Noah the Sailor, honestly I still think it would be fine

Pancakeflipper Thu 27-Oct-16 19:30:14

I like Elliot Sailor
