Would this really be so bad? Thoughts please.

I, too, have come on to find out what might be wrong with it Confused

(I suppose unless you are giving Hugh, Ian as middle names? Wink

Mine are ST. I'm 41 and never, ever has anybody commented on them.

Report
GoofyTheHero · 21/10/2016 16:46

Err... what could possibly be bad about it?

Marshmallow92 · 21/10/2016 16:52

Mine are ST, never had any remark made. I'm assuming you're thinking because of saint?

ST were my initials before I married...never occurred to me or anyone else that there was any issue!

Only thing I can think of is Sanitary Towell? Bit tenuous though!

UpsyDaisy123 · 21/10/2016 19:06

Yes, sanitary towel. Does nobody else call them STs?

STs = sanitary towels? Never heard that before. Sounds like something my guide leader might have said Smile.

Report
FuckThatToOneSide · 21/10/2016 19:24

Ugh that was meant to be a Grin not a Smile. Looks like I have really fond memories of my guide leader (I do not). She was a nice lady and all, but not whistful smile worthy!

I've never heard sanitary towels as STs. Ever.

Only time I've ever seen them called STs was in a B&B on the Isle of Wight!
I think you're ok with these initials.

My first thought was a Ford ST, a sports performance car but I live in a house full of car mad males! Sanitary towels wouldn't enter my head.

I would never have made a connection with initials ST! Definitely not an issue!

nennyrainbow · 22/10/2016 18:27

The only person I have ever heard refer to sanitary towels as STs was my mother who would have been 75 this year. I think people stopped calling them that in the 1960s so you should be fine with those initials now!

Itisnotwhatyouknow · 22/10/2016 18:28

I write ST on my shopping list so I would think sanitary towels if I saw ST as initials but I honestly don't think the connection is bad or strong enough to warrant not using the initials.
