2nd DC but first DD due in February and DH and I have whittled down our names to just two: Mona and Hannah, we really can't decide, so I just wanted to see what others thought.

DS is called Finley if that makes a difference.

Hannah is nicer I think. Mona could be open to name calling eg 'moaner'

NavyandWhite Fri 21-Oct-16 11:15:28

Hannah! Lovely name as is Anna.
Mona is awful. Moaner.

HeteronormativeHaybales Fri 21-Oct-16 11:27:22

Hannah.

MrsJayy Fri 21-Oct-16 11:31:21

Hannah but im biased. I wanted to call dd Anna dh didnt like it but add an H and he loved it confused

HairsprayBabe Fri 21-Oct-16 11:32:30

Hannah, all the very best, smartest, most creative, kind and loveliest people are called Hannah!

But I may be biased as I am one wink

Sophronia Fri 21-Oct-16 11:35:52

Hannah

HerSpookyFattyness Fri 21-Oct-16 11:37:16

Hannah.

MrsJayy Fri 21-Oct-16 11:37:59

Cant disagree with that Hairspray I don't think Hannah dates or fades you will always find a Hannah dotted about of all ages. My old Brownie leader was Hannah she died recently she was the loveliest kindest women i have ever met

EssentialHummus Fri 21-Oct-16 11:38:11

Hannah, by absolute miles.

Sgoinneal Fri 21-Oct-16 11:41:07

Hannah. Though I prefer Anna.

HannahLily2014 Fri 21-Oct-16 11:41:36

100% Hannah but like pp I may be biased wink

Hullabaloo31 Fri 21-Oct-16 11:41:57

I have a little 18 mo Hannah and get a lot of lovely comments, mainly about not knowing many tiny Hannah's and how it's a name dotted about through age groups, as another poster said.

She was never going to be a Hannah, but when she arrived she wasn't any of the names we'd picked! I have a little boy with a hebrew name too, and I just love the symmetry of it written down.

Hannah. By miles and miles. Goes really well with Finlay too.

roseteapot101 Fri 21-Oct-16 11:42:30

hanna

Jenijena Fri 21-Oct-16 11:44:38

Hannah... that would be my daughter's name... love my boys but found it much harder to name them!

Benson7683 Fri 21-Oct-16 11:46:08

Really surprised at the overwhelming response in favour of Hannah, I was sure comments would be 50/50. shock

I suppose we'll be going with Hannah, I do love it, it's not that popular at the moment which is a plus.

In defence of Mona, it is a very lovely name, even with the 'moaner' association.

YorkieDorkie Fri 21-Oct-16 11:46:28

I am a Hannah and I love my name smile

SpidersFromMars Fri 21-Oct-16 11:48:53

Hannah definitely

MrsJayy Fri 21-Oct-16 11:51:50

Hanna also means happiness in arabic . Woman who worked in a hotel shop told us that 1 year on holiday .

ageingrunner Fri 21-Oct-16 11:52:34

I like Ramona, but not Mona. Hannah's still much nicer though

Chinlo Fri 21-Oct-16 11:59:08

I like Hannah a lot.

Not a fan of Mona at all.

MotherDuckSaid Fri 21-Oct-16 12:11:53

I LOVE Mona!

TheHiphopopotamus Fri 21-Oct-16 12:15:57

I like Mona. It's not a name you hear much these days.

Not keen on Hannah, but it's not an awful name.

Cocochoco Fri 21-Oct-16 12:18:45

I like Hannah, too. Dd has a friend called Muna, which might be an alternative to Mona?
