I still love his name

Shinyshoes2 Fri 30-Sep-16 21:51:21

We did have the " what's it all about alfieeeeeeee" when he was born hmm

PrincessOnTheInternet Fri 30-Sep-16 21:53:14

Love it, one of my favourite names!

CauliflowerSqueeze Fri 30-Sep-16 21:56:03

Nope sorry.

Girliefriendlikesflowers Fri 30-Sep-16 21:56:53

Love it, it was my boy name that I didn't get to use as I had girl!

SisterViktorine Fri 30-Sep-16 21:59:48

I'm afraid Alfie is a naughty boy name- in my school anyway.

sallysparrow157 Fri 30-Sep-16 22:12:50

My tortoise is called Alfie, leading to me and the bloke calling all tortoises Alfies (and all turtles swimming Alfies)! My godson is also an Alfie (I may possibly buy him the occasional tortoise themed gift...)

Too cute for me.

PunkrockerGirl Fri 30-Sep-16 22:16:08

Love it.

MaxineRockatansky Fri 30-Sep-16 22:17:57

Dreadful.

Too commonly used and 'cheeky chappy' for my tastes.

TempsPerdu Fri 30-Sep-16 22:19:04

Not a fan I'm afraid. Cute enough on a toddler, but don't think it ages well.

bluebirdx Fri 30-Sep-16 23:18:07

I thought it might not age well until I remembered Alfie on eastenders who really suits his name hahagrin

Thanks for all the replies, makes me love it even more smile

It's fine, but it's very popular. It isn't as nice when they have to be known as Alfie initial all through their school days.

Many Alfies become Alf, as teenagers, it's a good name.

PotatoBread Sat 01-Oct-16 19:14:43

I like it but it's v v popular to the point where it's become very bland and boring which is a shame. Depends if popularity bothers you or not.

WaitrosePigeon Sat 01-Oct-16 21:17:19

Only if Alfred is on the BC.

It's boring and extremely popular now. But is fine for an average name.

CauliflowerSqueeze Sun 02-Oct-16 08:36:19

I think "Reggie" is the new "Alfie" in my school's area.

MrsGsnow18 Sun 02-Oct-16 10:13:05

I'm not a fan of Alfie. It's been very popular for a while now and there are way too many Alfies around I think.

bluebirdx Sun 02-Oct-16 16:06:13

Alfie's not actually very popular in my area which is why I quite like it smile

ScarletForYa Sun 02-Oct-16 16:08:27

Twee and overused.

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely Sun 02-Oct-16 16:09:10

It's been done to death tbh. And is definitely a naughty boy name.

bluebirdx Sun 02-Oct-16 16:11:42

The only other name I really like is Freddie, and it's not very liked on here hmm

bluebirdx Sun 02-Oct-16 16:11:57

Love names ending in'ie'

Doublejeopardy Sun 02-Oct-16 16:30:30

My Alfie isn't naughty, isn't an Alfred either. I do notice his friends call him Alf now he is 10
