Honest opinions on Pablo? We are Spanish, but living in the UK.

Brother is Diego smile

Great name!

I live in South America and find it quite a boring name (kind of like Paul in English!). But that's just me. It will certainly be more unusual in the UK of course.

I don't like it that much, I think there are nicer Spanish names, but nothing wrong with it.

Love Diego though.

Escobar. But I am watching Narcos at the minute grin.

Agree with Nuff that there are better Spanish names out there. And Diego is really cool.

I like Nacho smile

Nacho Figueras <drool>

My tool of a BIL is Nacho so am not a fan grin.

Hector? Diego and Hector sound totally badass.

Or Sancho. It has a nice ring.

*I'm not Spanish and know nothing about how these names sound to Spanish people.

I like:

I'm also not Spanish though so I don't what the associations/meanings are to those names! Could be like Nigel, Derek, Ken etc. in English grin

Fantastic on ! 😄

Sugarpiehoneyeye Fri 30-Sep-16 19:15:35

Oh dear, that backfired.

Pablo definitely wouldn't be my first choice of Spanish names for boys. I agree with the pp who said there are lots of nicer Spanish names you could use.

That said, if I met someone called Pablo I definitely wouldn't raise an eyebrow; it's perfectly nice, just not my first choice.

Diego is awesome btw. Love it! smile

I love Pablo. Think it's very cool. My Ds is Santiago but I know that's very common ( but not where we live).

I met a Pablo this week. I love it.

paddypants13 Sun 02-Oct-16 17:56:24

I like it. I used to teach a Pablo and he was a sweetheart.

I love, love, love Rafael (Rafa) for short . I think it's pretty much the coolest boys' name ever. Unfortunately, it would sound rather daft with our very English surname.
