Eighth DC?

Or some other association with eight?

Sorry by my honest opinion is why? It's a terrible name. Poor kid.

Madbengalmum · 25/09/2016 17:24

No. Just no, sorry

lolalament · 25/09/2016 17:24

I think it's better as a middle name, with first name "skoda"

HunterIs · 25/09/2016 17:32

Why? Because we like it... No need for the poor kid bit! We haven't named him yet

It sounds a bit pompous

My thoughts are you've got a great sense of humour

I don't like it, sorry. It's just a bit too much.

Why not, but then I Chose Octavia for my younger daughter. So named as she was born on the 8th August (and we were completely stuck for a girls name). 21 years on, there are no regrets.

Having admitted my bias, what's wrong with it? It's very livable with compared to some of the naff and pretentious names punted on here by parents to be.

Awful

Otto is lovely- nothing to do with 8, but being born in the 8/9 is a bit tenuous anyway.

Does your baby smoke a pipe? They're both rather elderly names Wink

Now I know a Peregrine and that would put me off choosing that name, because I'd think of him every time Grin. Whereas my Titch, well, she has a beautiful soul and I couldn't be more proud of her and what she's achieved. All those 8s are supposed to be lucky...

I understand, as my very favourite name is Septimus. There's no way I'd have seven children to get to use it though! ( I blame my love of Septimus on an early Rupert the Bear obsession).

Hector?
DH wanted Peregrine.

I like Octavius a lot.

But I wouldn't use it for one of my DC because it's just that little bit too unusual for me.

Unless you're the Royal families' superiors superior. It's just being something you're not,
