Liking the 80s vibe - I went to school with a LOT of Simons and Pauls! Grin Personally, I prefer Paul.

Simon, lovely name.

I prefer Paul too. I'm old though, so they both sound like normal names to me. In fact I know a few of both.

Thanks Blush yes, we are a bit funny with names! We have an Amanda... She's only 1.5!

Oh fab names. I love Amanda. There wont be many of them in her school.
I think Simon goes better with Amanda but I also love Paul

Both names are really terrible.

Sorry but Simon and Paul are names for 30 year old blokes who enjoy train spotting and garden centres.

Simon is lovely , not keen on Paul .

Paul Simon?

I'm not a fan of either sorry OP. Plus most Pauls I know are total, total wankers. And unfortunately I know a few (due to my age I think). Look up the meaning, I'm sure it says 'wanker originally from the area of wanksville' or something very similar Grin

There are way too many Pauls in the world as it is. Sometimes it feels like every other man is called Paul.

So that leaves Simon I suppose.

Paul is awful. I feel really sorry for Sam Faiers who had to call her baby that, as it was her boyfriend's tradition.

He's called baby Paul and it sounds terrible.

chippednailvarnish you have perfectly described my 43 year old Paul Grin

Report
dontpokethebear · 24/09/2016 22:45

I should have said husband!

He is not a wanker all the time

Sophronia · 24/09/2016 22:46

Both quite unusual nowadays - I like them! Think I'd go with Paul

DramaAlpaca · 24/09/2016 23:02

I'd go with Simon, I quite like it.

I like both, but particularly Simon. It's not that common these days, so unusual(ish) but not ridiculous or made up.
