I adore the name Scarlet, but my name is Stella. I'm seriously picky about names, I don't want any alliteration! Surname begins with a J so wouldn't pick a J name either!

Any ideas?

Blue - I know a couple of Blues.
Magenta, Mauve, Olive, Saffron, Hazel
Quite a few names are colours in different languages:
Blanche/Bianca - white (French/Italian)
Celeste - light blue (Italian)
Rose/ Rosa - pink (French/Italian). You get the drift...

I think you should use Scarlet. It does not really all iterate with Stella because Sc and St are different sounds. Both fab names and they have a similar vibe somehow.

To be honest I don't think it would be a problem using Scarlet while being a Stella. I think they sound and seem different enough, (but not so they wouldn't go well together).

What do you mean by a name like Scarlet? One which sounds attention grabbing and bold like the colour scarlet? A colour name?

To go far out, Scandal sounds like Scarlet to me, (I once wrote a story which had a character I named Scandal in it, to match her personality, so that comes to mind).
