Quick Poll - Jake or Rhys!

joebloggs76 · 06/09/2016 14:00

Thanks for taking the time to read this. As a quick poll what would you choose - Jake or Rhys?

We both like Jake but worry is is popular especially as Jacob can be shortened to it. Rhys on the other hand is not so popular but I worry about issues with selling.

Kind regards,

Joebloggs

Rhys, definitely.

I don't think the spelling is that much of an issue, as it's quite a "known" name.

Jake - it won't win though, as people think of it as a 'chav' name on here Hmm

Not a fan of Rhys, I''m afraid. So Jake for me.

Thanks for your responses I make that 9-3 to Rhys. Although as one response has said they have only ever seen it spelt Reece that more or less confirms my fears Confused

When I was at school, there was a Rhys in my year. In year 7, I was handing out the books. There was Rhys on it. I had no idea what the name said Grin so I left it on the side. Rhys looks at me and goes "do you not know my name" and I was like "yeah, Reece..." (As that's how I thought it was spelt) and he goes "so why didn't you give me my book!?" I was a little Hmm and then realised Rhys, was said as Reece. Maybe most people aren't as stupid as me Grin

Jake. I hate the name Rhys however it's spelt. I've known three Rhyses and they've all been pretty unpleasant so it carries negative connotations to me, apart from the fact that I just don't like the way it sounds.

I think it's far more Chavvy than Jake as well. The Jakes I've known have had clever/posh/arty parents. The same can't be said of the Rhys parents, to put it mildly.
