Due on Friday and still undecided for girl's names. Shortlist is:
Katherine (poss shortened to Katie?)

Middle name will be Rose (family reasons) and surname is 4 syllables beginning with 'Sh'.

Thoughts please?!

Really dislike Katherine confused

JenniferAnistonsHair Sun 04-Sep-16 11:02:07

Ooh, good luck!!

Out of the three, Lydia would be my choice smile

FloatyFlo Sun 04-Sep-16 11:03:10

Love Ivy!

(Love them both.)

Don't like Katherine. I find it dull.

They're all lovely. Just see what she looks like.

Oly5 Sun 04-Sep-16 11:09:25

I love Katherine! My second choice would be Ivy.
Don't like Lydia I'm afraid

All beautiful, and all go very well with Rose. Maybe Ivy as the front runner..

weegiemum Sun 04-Sep-16 11:13:54

I have a Katherine - it suited her as a wee one and she carries it very well as an uber-cool 16 year old "art babe" (her words). Brilliant name. She often goes by Kathy now.

MyKingdomForBrie Sun 04-Sep-16 11:17:05

Lydia as it goes best with Rose imo

PotteringAlong Sun 04-Sep-16 11:25:03

Katherine, without a shadow of a doubt.

Foxtato Sun 04-Sep-16 11:29:37

Lydia Rose.
Those names go together lovely.

MrsMargeSimpson Sun 04-Sep-16 11:30:48

Don't shorten Katherine to Katie, it's really fucking irritating explaining that every fucking day for a whole life. If you like Katie, choose Katie.

Speaking from bitter experience

celeryisnotasuperfood Sun 04-Sep-16 11:33:03

Like all 3 - favourite is Lydia.
But just leave it as a short list and wait for baby to arrive - then I think one of them will jump out as being right for your baby...

fluentinsarcasm Sun 04-Sep-16 11:49:18

Like Katherine the best, Ivy the least.

There's no wiggle room with Ivy if she doesn't like it.... maybe V but think it sounds harsh
Katherine has loads ...Katie, Kate, Kathy, Kitty, Kat

maryellie Sun 04-Sep-16 11:50:32

Ivy star

Mausageandsash Sun 04-Sep-16 11:51:13

Lydia X

Heratnumber7 Sun 04-Sep-16 11:53:18

Ivy sounds like a Victorian kitchen maid.
Katherine and Lydia are both nice.

babyblabber Sun 04-Sep-16 11:54:07

Ivy or Lydia.

Not a fan of Katherine, if you go for it Catherine looks so much nicer.

VioletsAreViolet Sun 04-Sep-16 11:55:00

Love Ivy.

Katherine's okay, but a bit dull.

Can't stand Lydia.

allegretto Sun 04-Sep-16 11:56:29

I love Lydia and Katherine. I like Ivy but not with Rose as a second name - sounds a bit weird to have two plants!

Hulafox Sun 04-Sep-16 12:38:47

I like Ivy the best - esp if your surname is quite long. With Katherine it might just end up being a lot of letters!

eachtigertires Sun 04-Sep-16 12:49:38

I like Ivy the best.

Rosaaa Sun 04-Sep-16 13:00:24

For me:
1) Katherine / Catherine
2) Lydia
3) Ivy
