I doubt it. My sister is Frances and has been wound up since forever at getting called Francis.

I thinkk Francis / Frances are pretty thin on the ground anyway so highly unlikley there would be another one in his class.

Name website darkgreener.com put Frances at 416th in 2015 , Francis at 235th, so not anywhere near top ten.

I wouldnt worry about teasing as Francis is obviously a boys name (even though unisex) ,it isn't as difficult to pull off as maybe Jesse or Jody would be.

Very nice name.
Francis/Frank/Frankie

I'd say the likelyhood of a Frances and Francis being in the same class now are pretty low. Neither are very common names for any age group. Amongst the many preschoolers I know, I only know 1 - a boy, always known as Frankie anyway.

I like it, one of the nicest people I know is a Francis

I love this! Francis is a very sophisticated and lovely name but Frank and Frankie are options. And Frank/Francis from the House of Cards is fab! Do it. I may have to have another baby and do it myself!

The only Francis I know (he's 19) is usually called 'France'

But I agree, highly unlikely you'll come across another Frances/Francis nowadays

It was my grandads name so was a masculine name in my head long before I realised it also had a feminine form.
I think it is a nice classic name that will not really date but is not overly common which is a good thing.

It was my grandads middle name and has been passed down as a middle name to my aunt and my oldest dd but I would have had it for a ds if he had been the first born!

Lovely and I'm surprising myself saying that, as I haven't ever considered it before. Very classic and wise sounding.

Love the name Francis, if it was not DP's name we would call our son Francis

I have a Frank. He's just Frank but I do like Francis as well.

I irrationally hate Frankie for a boy but love it for a girl. And love Frances too.

Boychilds best friend is Francis. Always known as Francis.

Never heard of another Francis in the time my kids have been at school. My smallest is Francesca and there has always been at least one other in the school at the same time x
