That's how I remember the pronunciation from the audiobook

LottieDoubtie Tue 16-Aug-16 12:55:24

I teach one pronounced "Ow-Ree' but that may not be definitive!

TheLongRains Tue 16-Aug-16 12:55:42

Immediately thought "ow-ree" (like Audi), but on thinking about it, I'd probably go with "or-ree"

Loyly Tue 16-Aug-16 12:57:40

I only know it as a Finnish name (so it depends on the setting) and it would be pronounced 'Ow-ri' in Finnish.

devilinmyshoes Tue 16-Aug-16 13:02:25

ISN'T it short for Auriella (ow ree ella)?

devilinmyshoes Tue 16-Aug-16 13:08:55

Maybe I'm thinking of Aurelia Or Ray Lee Uh

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost Tue 16-Aug-16 13:51:19
