What do you all think of this name?
And which spelling would you go for?

I quite like it and would spell it Fern.
People don't mess around with the spellings of other nature names (Rose, Willow, Heather, Rowan etc etc) so I don't really see the need to change the original spelling of Fern.

I would also go for Fern.

Fearne is a horrible spelling, trying a bit too hard to be 'yooneek', and it just reminds me of Fearne Bloody Cotton.

Fern is nice, simple, and feminine.

Fern. Just Fern.

There's no need to mess around with such a lovely name.

Oh I thought these were all accepted spellings tbh, didn't realise Fearne only came from Fearne Cotton Blush
I in no way whatsoever want to be 'yooneek' trust me

Glad that everyone seems to like the actual name though Smile

The actual name is lovely, and I don't know any little Ferns, so maybe still quite unusual? It's a nice, neat little name that's cute as a youngster, and works just as well for an adult Smile

Fern. Charlotte's web. Lovely.

I love it! I also thought Fearne was an accepted spelling though and wouldn't have thought of it as a made up spelling or anything. I like Fearne or Fern but Fern might be easier for her when giving her name over the phone, less likely to be misspelt etc. Unless she's speaking to a Fearne Cotton fan that is!

I know a 9yo Fern and she is adorable. Definitely Fern.

Fearne Cotton is the daughter of a signwriter, need I say more? Grin

I only like the Fern spelling. Fearne looks made up.

My sister's name is Fern. I chose it, apparently, because my favourite book as a child was Charlotte's Web. I quite like it Smile
