Baby names

Please elaborate on my shortlist of girls names.

Phillippa
Eleanor
Beatrice
Phoebe
Annabelle

Above are the only girls names that I have come up with that haven't been vetoed. DH hasn't come up with any.

If it's a boy we are leaning towards Rupert.

He/She will be a sibling for Henrietta.

Please state your favourite and give me some ideas on other girls names I might like? Nothing too popular.

Ava is a beautiful name and spelt with a "A".
I have always thought Thomas is a great name for a boy, (Tommy or Tom) for short.
Good luck

Beatrice is my fave.

My favourite from your list is Philippa (I'd go for the more traditional one 'l' in the middle).

The other names on your list are lovely & go well with Henrietta. I prefer Annabel to Annabelle - same pronunciation, looks less frilly.

Suggestions - Isabella came into my head first, but you did say not too popular!

Other ideas: Marianne, Clementine, Arabella or Imogen.

Phoebe or Annabelle are the only nice ones on that list that won't look like you're trying too hard

I really like Beatrice too but personally not so keen on the nickname Bea, but I think Eleanor shortened to Ellie is nice or Annabella to Anna. You may not like the shortened versions (as I know I don't for my DC) but I find kids love playing around with nicknames and re-identifying themselves so I'd go for sounds good when shortened too! Just my twopence, for what it's worth! :)

Annabel (spelled like that) or Eleanor are lovely, and Phoebe is also nice. Not that mad on Philippa or Beatrice really.

I love Eleanor and also think Imogen would be a good fit for your style.

Annabelle is only going to get shortened to Anna or Belle or Bell.

Great names! I have four boys and Eleanor was my girl's name for all of them, so that's obviously my favourite! Henrietta and Philippa were also on my list - you have excellent taste in names. Also like Annabel (prefer this spelling personally). Not a fan of Phoebe or Beatrice.

I love Annabelle, Beatrice and Eleanor. But I am very biased in respect of all 3. Annabelle just nudges it for me as it is the "prettiest". I much prefer the Annabelle spelling though as Annabel looks unfinished to me. Xx

You must be me. All those names were on my list a few years ago (except for Annabelle). I love all those 4. I could be wrong but isn't Eleanor a bit popular? It is very lovely.
To be honest any of those will do.

I like Annabelle best, always loved it.

Eleanor popular around here, 2 in dd's class and I know 2 more and also lots of Ellens for some reason.

I'm not really an Eleanor fan, but I want a Nell and dislike the other Nell options. My father is Neil and is known to all as Nelly so it's a nod to him.

I'm totally at a loss with this and at 29 weeks DH is struggling to get involved in a serious conversation, it's frustrating. He has however just told me that he NEVER agreed to Annabelle!!!!!

My only other feeling is Busy (Elizabeth). Thoughts?
