So my husband and I are expecting our 2nd son in 3 weeks.
Our little boy is called Sawyer, so not a traditional name, so we was after a name for our 2nd son along the same lines.

The name we've heard this week for our 2nd son is Loxley or Locksley.
What do people think to this is it to unsusal?
Thanks in advance

I don't like it at all. But if you and your dh like it that's all that matters.

Ooh I like that! (I have got a 6week old and am exceptionally hormonal though!)
I think it goes well with ds's name too

I really like it smile yes it's unusual but I think it's lovely! I like Sawyer too

I wouldnt use it but thats just by taste. If you are going to use it I would spell it the first way. The second spelling looks quite clumsy. It is Robin Hoods name he was referred to as Robin of Loxley as that is the village he was from. Our cat used to be called Loxley as he was found abandoned as a kitten in Sherwood Forest (random fact you didn't ask for)

i like it.

I know one Loxley. It is a lovely name.

DerelictMyBalls Sat 25-Jun-16 20:28:24

Loxley sounds like the kind of name that people who named their son Sawyer would like.

Paintedhandprints Sat 25-Jun-16 20:29:11

I like Loxley and Sawyer. Lovely.

BikeRunSki Sat 25-Jun-16 20:30:52

I like it, but spot Loxley. The other way looks very cumbersome, and people will default to Loxley anyway as it is a fairly well used place name.

Tiggeryoubastard Sat 25-Jun-16 20:31:37

Fucking awful. Why would you do that?

Tiggeryoubastard Sat 25-Jun-16 20:31:53

Derelict. grin

Ewww, no

Hope that you have given them boring more mainstream middle names that they can use if they prefer! Sounds fine, will be Locks or Locky for short? possibly Goldie locks? Would also google the name incase anything negative is associated with it.....

I'm not a huge fan of surname style first names but Sawyer is really nice. Loxley isn't as nice and for some reason neither spelling looks quite right.

AveEldon Sat 25-Jun-16 20:37:53

Loxley is a better spelling imho

EllenDegenerate Sat 25-Jun-16 20:39:12

Not to my taste but perfectly acceptable.
Undeserving of derision.

lornathewizzard Sat 25-Jun-16 20:44:12

I actually like it, and I'm not a great fan of 'weird' names. Spelt with the X though.

LastGirlOnTheLeft Sat 25-Jun-16 20:45:22

Those names are hilarious!!!grin

CPtart Sat 25-Jun-16 20:52:52

Dreadful. But your choice.

OSETmum Sat 25-Jun-16 21:01:28

I quite like it, but only when spelt the first way.

RedLarvaYellowLarva Sun 26-Jun-16 00:14:57

Love Sawyer and Loxley (prefer x to ck spelling). Do it!
Huxley is also cool.
What other names do you like?

Out if interest, how is Sawyer pronounced? Is it like soya?

PeppasNanna Sun 26-Jun-16 00:24:47

I like both names but then again one of my dc is a Levi.
