So we're 2 weeks away from our due date and beginning to (mildly) panic over names.

'Yay' or 'Nay' on the current front-runner if it's a boy...

Rupert Cosmo <SURNAME>

Leave the cosmo.

Not overly keen on Rupert, not my sort of name but much nicer than cosmo.

Pipilangstrumpf Thu 16-Jun-16 12:50:50

Great name!

Pipilangstrumpf Thu 16-Jun-16 12:53:50

You rarely use your middle name so choose your favourite first name that goes well with your surname.

MuddhaOfSuburbia Thu 16-Jun-16 12:53:55

Either but not both

Vixxfacee Thu 16-Jun-16 12:54:45

No. Really bad.

BishopBrennansArse Thu 16-Jun-16 12:55:22

Very Jilly Cooper wink

IoraRua Thu 16-Jun-16 12:57:09

It is a bit Jilly Cooper alrighty.
I don't personally like it, but not the worst.

FoxesSitOnBoxes Thu 16-Jun-16 12:57:58

You need to have a double-barrel surname and land/a title to pull it off but I kind of like it!

doceodocere Thu 16-Jun-16 12:58:57

It screams Jilly to me too.

Not that it matters if you like the name.

Tobe Thu 16-Jun-16 12:59:49

Jilly Cooper !? LOL

Oh god, now you mention it....

Jeremysfavouriteaunt Thu 16-Jun-16 13:01:03

Well dh refused me Cosmo and I still love the name.

Jeremysfavouriteaunt Thu 16-Jun-16 13:01:34

Not Rupert for me though, definitely one or the other if you have to, not both.

Woodenmouse Thu 16-Jun-16 13:06:16

Personally I don't like Cosmo. I like Rupert though!

Scarydinosaurs Thu 16-Jun-16 13:30:35

Love Rupert.

Cosmo is a little too spacey/dog name.

Jeremysfavouriteaunt Thu 16-Jun-16 13:32:02

I am taking these Cosmo comments personally even though I didn't even use the name grin

DavidPuddy Thu 16-Jun-16 13:32:04

Is your surname Kramer? If yes, go ahead.

Pootles2010 Thu 16-Jun-16 13:36:27

Depends how posh you are. Will they be going to private school? Is the surname double-barrelled?

Diddlydokey Thu 16-Jun-16 13:38:28

If you have an unusual first name, I think that the middle names should be a normal alternative that they might prefer when they're older.

Tiggeryoubastard Thu 16-Jun-16 13:38:38

Oh that's bad. Really bad. You've chosen two of the drippiest names going. All you need is to put Walter in there and you'll have the full set.

allegretto Thu 16-Jun-16 13:40:17

Rupert and Cosmo really leaves nowhere to go if you're child wants something less posh

DramaAlpaca Thu 16-Jun-16 14:05:23

It does sound very posh to me.

The only good thing about Rupert is that you can call him Roo, which is adorable.

CheeseAndSprinkleys Thu 16-Jun-16 14:07:34

My first thoughts are Jilly Cooper too grin

NavyAndWhite Thu 16-Jun-16 14:07:50

I love it!

Are you very posh OP? I hope so with that name grin

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant Thu 16-Jun-16 14:10:31

I know a Rupert Charles.
He is always Rupert. Never roo..

Not sure on cosmo.
