Name your Fantasy Family

If you could have had the number and genders of children of your dreams, what would you have called them?

I've always had a fantasy of living in some West London mansion with a slightly alternative husband and family that do lots of sophisticated, theatrical London things - I'm a London yummy mummy wannabe I guess Grin
I would have 6 girls:
Giselle Evangeline
Miranda Faith
Kiki Mariella
Xanthe Arabella (I actually used this one irl)
Aphra Genevieve
Astrid Georgina those last two would be twins - I would never actually match twins' initials but this is fantasy world)

DS- Gylfi
DD- Cosette
DD- Flossie

I love them all but would never be brave enough in RL

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 14/06/2016 21:33

Dunno about the children, but Tom Hiddleston is their Dad...

dimdommilpot · 14/06/2016 22:27

Back up breakfast, he is actually my childrens dad...

AngharadTheSplendid · 15/06/2016 00:29

I'd love four or five girls (currently have two)
Realistically they'd be...

Vivienne
Claudia
Xanthe (jealous you have one, also adore Astrid)
Imogen

But in my fantasy life...

Persephone
Ariadne
Antigone
Pandora!

AngharadTheSplendid · 15/06/2016 00:30

Winter I think Cosette is totally useable, and Coco is a fab nickname.

AngharadTheSplendid · 15/06/2016 00:32

Oh and nicknames for the last four would be Posy, Aria, Tiggy and Panda!

manicinsomniac · 15/06/2016 09:09

Oh, Angharad - Posy, Aria, Tiggy and Panda would be so sweet!

OP posts:
ABitAsleep · 15/06/2016 09:56

I love Posy as a stand alone name! Also... Zola, Jana, Lyra and Edie (Perhaps i have a thing about 4 letter names?)

But i don't think i would be brave enough for most of them, in reality i would like a Brianna Emmeline and Edie Autumn (nn Bri and Eeds) :)

Voteforpedr0 · 15/06/2016 10:03

Linda
Karen
Gary
Howard
And baby Brenda

Shemozzle · 15/06/2016 12:25

angharadthesplendid I have an Antigone known as Tiggy. And on my shortlist for the next is Persephone, but nickname Percy. I do love Posey but can't get it from Persephone.

I love these fantasy name threads as its where I get the names I actually like and would use inspiration!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 15/06/2016 13:12

Oh it is so hard to choose but I'd love a boy called Clark and girls called Tamar, Holliday and Tierney. Needless to say DH wouldn't go for any of them!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 15/06/2016 13:13

Our real life girl choices are Adelaide Elizabeth and Zara Blythe, which I think are unbeatable, better than my more out there choices, anyway :)

JasperDamerel · 15/06/2016 13:23

I'd have three girls called DD's actual name, Ginevra and Thalia, and a boy called either Constantine or Clovis. We would live in an Arts and Crafts villa full of art.

JasperDamerel · 15/06/2016 13:24

In real life I have two children with names not unlike those listed and live a 30s semi full of art, so I'm not doing too badly.

IggyPopsicle · 15/06/2016 21:04

Cassandra & Raquel (Yes I know they are from Only Fools & Horses Grin)

travellinghopefully12 · 15/06/2016 21:08

Fanstasy family, and not names my DP would allow but..

Manon Rosalind
Gulliver Orson
Felicity Cecilia
Artemis (then something Shakespearean)

Sleeperandthespindle · 15/06/2016 21:20

Christian
Etienne
Delphine
Marianne

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 15/06/2016 21:24

I was just talking about my fantasy family on another thread! One where I can manage 6 children and live to tell the tale.

Stellan Oliver
Damian Leo
Felix Elliott
Iris Maeve
Cora Eden
Ruby Kate

OrionsAccessory · 15/06/2016 21:34

If use my actual kids' names too but the extra kids would be:

Saskia Elektra
Anouk Arielle
Hermione Skye
Sylvie Iris

Rufus
Rex

I'll let dh choose the boy middle names cos I'm nice like that and I can't think of any

JasperDamerel · 15/06/2016 21:41

My fantasy dogs are greyhounds called Tolly and Linnet and my fantasy cat is called Petrarch, although I'm now also considering Machievelli after reading a different thread.

FlowerOfTheWest · 15/06/2016 21:48

I have four fantasy children, two girls and two boys:
Hester
Arlo
Devon
Suki (nn for Susannah)

I spend a lot of time taking them on walks through charming meadows and enjoying delicious picnics. Nobody ever gets whiny or grumpy, including me!

MrsDarcy4092 · 17/06/2016 08:36

I would have three Boys and twin girls.

Stirling Alexander
Miller James
Fox Gower

Belle
Honey

We would live in the country and own some farm animals. The children would all get married at the house because it's so good for parties.

Alas, we live in London and are awaiting ivf for our first. Fantasy lives rock!

bananapeanut · 18/06/2016 00:11

Twin girls

Isadora Grace
Adriana Rose

I have zero boy names I like ! (No kids yet so I am pretty sure this means I will have only boys...)

fitzbilly · 18/06/2016 09:47

Oooh I these threads! My fantasy family names have changed a lot over the years, currently they are:

Xanthe and Peta for girls
Rex and Bodi for boys

I think I would be brave enough to use the irl, I already have one of them.

And yes, we take nice looking walls in meadows full of wild flowers or we ask go surfing together in my fantasies. They never argue or moan eitherGrin
