My dp loves this name.
I love it to but think most people would hate it?
Honest opinion on willow ?

I love it!

ThomasRichard Tue 07-Jun-16 12:20:25

I really like it. It sounds very graceful.

rainbowstardrops Tue 07-Jun-16 12:24:41

I really like it smile

ShrimpNGrits Tue 07-Jun-16 12:26:16

It makes me think of the film with Warwick Davies but I doubt many people would associate it with that tbh.

It's a very pretty name!

Gileswithachainsaw Tue 07-Jun-16 12:28:14

I like it.

makes me think of buffy the vampire slayer.loved that show blush

iloveberries Tue 07-Jun-16 16:20:40

Gorgeous and feminine but not too girlie.
Willow could be a CEO

I thinks it's so pretty! And a little bit hippy. I've got 30 weeks (ish) of pregnancy to convince my DP that if we have a little girl this is the name!!

Wish me luck!

ListenToYourHeart Tue 07-Jun-16 16:36:29

Love it, very pretty!

wobblywonderwoman Tue 07-Jun-16 16:38:43

I do love it but my worry with it is if the child is not very willowy. but I know this may be ridiculous

I love it too, if we find out we're having (another shock ) girl at the 20 week scan end of July, I'm putting my foot down and using it (dp's family will hate it!)

imjessie Tue 07-Jun-16 18:16:42

I have a Willow who is nearly 13. It's such a cool name and she is willowy so it suits her . I fell in love with it as soon as I read it in a baby name book . I get a bit annoyed that there are more around now due to pink and some tv presenters naming their daughters it ! hmm

ThoraGruntwhistle Tue 07-Jun-16 18:21:35

I think it's a lovely name. I only know one Willow and she's not at all willowy, but it still suits her.

Jooni Tue 07-Jun-16 19:02:36

Very pretty, graceful name. It might not be to everyone's taste, but it's hardly an unheard-of choice nowadays, so I think people will be more open to it than you think. You'll never find a name everyone likes - might as well pick one you both love.

I love it smile My Willow is actually a cat!

RedCrimson Tue 07-Jun-16 19:07:37

I know a baby Willow, it's gorgeous!

marblestatue Tue 07-Jun-16 19:10:38

Lovely name.

tigerdog Tue 07-Jun-16 19:12:56

My Willow is DDog! And we are always coming across other dogs with the same name. I do love it though, I would say go for it if you like it.

Alisvolatpropiis Tue 07-Jun-16 19:14:34

Shrimp me too!

I do like it, though might be a bit of a burden for a non-willowy child/adult. Like being a clumsy Grace, or a miserable Felicity.

lemoncakes Tue 07-Jun-16 19:20:13

Love it. Only met one Willow in 29 years!

Ditsy4 Tue 07-Jun-16 19:23:23

I once had a Willow in the crèche. The name on paper conjured up a small, lithe little girl. She was beyond chubby! A little character.

Disregardme Tue 07-Jun-16 19:28:53

I love the name Willow. It's a gentle, beautiful name.

CPtart Tue 07-Jun-16 19:31:16

Sorry I hate it. There are a couple at DS school, I don't think it's quite as unusual as people like to think. It's a bit like 'Summer' or 'India' in my book. A bit wet and hippyish.
But your baby your choice.
