DS shortlist

I'm 37 weeks now so feel it's time to make our final decision! Have posted before for ideas / thoughts but this is our short list as it stands.

Ds1 is Frank. Our fave for ds2 is Jack. Surname is long / 3 syllables so like the sound of short non-fussy first names.

What do you think?

James Oliver F (nn Jamie / Jim)
Jack Oliver F (current fave)
Daniel Oliver F
Alfred Oliver F (nn Alf / Fred)
Aiden Oliver F

I love James and adore Jim and Jamie.

I love Jack although so popular.

I love Daniel.

I dislike Alfred.

Aiden is ok but not a patch on the top three.

James, Jack and Daniel are great names. Also love the nickname Jamie but not sure about the 'Jamie Oliver' combo.

I do worry about how common Jack is but I guess it's popular because it's a really cool name!

Also a bit worried about the Jamie Oliver thing but his name would be James, and Oliver is middle not our surname & would rarely be said all together - if we were using middle name In a formal context then we'd most likely be using James...something that's on my mind though.

So tricky!

I don't like Aiden, but I really like Aidan. So, I'd go for Aidan Oliver Smile my second favourite is Daniel Oliver...

Love Aidan, Daniel and James. Jack is nice but just not up there. And I really dislike Alfred!

I think Jack goes best with your DS1s name, but I like James best. I would change the middle name to Jack, so James Jack Surname.

I know a Robert William (middle name), he gets called Robbie too, no one bats an eyelid.

Jack, it's a great name

That's interesting ludways. I think if we went with James we'd start with James and see whether Jamie / Jim naturally come about.

Oliver is after my bro. ds1's middle is after BIL so quite keen on sticking with Oliver and using a family name.

Maybe he'll more look like a Jack or James and it'll make the decision easier!
