What could Mimi and Nina be short for?

Trying for dc2 and starting to consider names again. We have a Thomas (always Tom or Tommy) and have always adored Tessa (tess) if we had a girl.

However, two names I have also always loved are Mimi and Nina. Nina, like Tess, is a name in itself but are there any names Nina could be short for? Mimi is more of a nickname imo, so definitely needs to fuller name on the BC.

Any suggestions?

I know an Emilia which is shortened to Mimi, but it was by accident, as her little brother couldn't pronounce her name.

I know a Miriam and Mirabelle who are both Mimi

In Russia Nina is a diminutive of any name deriving from Anne. So Antonia, Anastastia etc. I also know a Katrina who is Nina.

In Italian Mimi can be a diminutive of both male and female names, such as Carmelo / Carmela, Domenico / Domenica, Emilio / Emilia, Beniamino, Emidio, Maria, Cosimo / Cosima and Noemi.

In Italian and Spanish Nina can be a diminutive of any of the girls' names that end in -nina or -ina, of which there are loads. Do you have any favourite first letters, or favourite / meaningful / family names that might have version ending in -ina?

I think Nina sounds like a stand alone name. It's a lovely. Mimi sounds a little 'trendy'.
