still struggling with middle names!

Hi, we are still struggling to find middle names for our ds and he needs to be registered by Thursday!

Ds1 has both my partner and my fathers names as middle names.

We have no idea for ds2.

I really would love a family connected name as ds1 has them but I don't know what to use. I wasn't really close to either of my grandfathers and I'm not keen on their names anyway.

I would like to include my dad but do doesn't want to use the same middle names as ds1.

My dads nickname was Raven due to his dark hair which ds2 has. I'm trying to use that but I can't find a name that connects with it means the same as Raven.

Any thoughts?

Why not use Raven? It's unusual, but meaningful and quite cool I think!

I haven't run it past dp yet but I don't think he'd agree! I really want my dad 'involved' as he died a few weeks after ds1 was born and was so sad to not know his grandchildren.

The Dutch for Raven is Raaf - so perhaps Rafe?

French/Italian/Spanish is Corbeau/Corvo/Cuervo so Corbin?

Just text it to dp. He says no to Raven.

Ciar/Ciaran/Kieran - means 'dark/black'
Bertram - means 'bright raven'
Bran - means 'raven' in Irish and Welsh
Cormac - means 'raven' + 'son'
Corbin/Korbin/Corbinian/Korbinian - means 'raven'
Roan - Frisian name meaning 'raven'
or Ray or Raymond instead of Raven?

Or you could use your father's middle name if he had one?

I know of two brothers who both have the same middle name, it was their grandfather's name and he passed before either were born.
Is your maiden name or perhaps your mother's maiden name usable?

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll have a proper read later when dp gets home.

I thought of Ray as its also my mums eldest brothers name who died young.

I could use my dads middle name but I'm not that keen on it.

Maiden names don't work unfortunately.

I'd def go Raven, if your partner thinks it's too out there. I don't think it matters at all for middle names. I think it sounds really cool for a middle name.

What about your maiden name? Your mothers' maiden names? Good US and scots customs here, think Hillary R Clinton
Go back to great grandparents?
