What do you think?

RaaRaaToday Thu 05-May-16 20:34:28

I love it :-)

julfin Thu 05-May-16 20:56:12

It's nice. I've also heard it's quite popular at the mo (if that makes a difference to you).

ScarlettOverkill Thu 05-May-16 21:04:45

@julfin, thank you. It does make a difference to me, but thankfully it's rather uncommon where I am.

ChickyDuck Thu 05-May-16 21:05:41

As in Lovelace!? Gorgeous smile

Laniakea Thu 05-May-16 21:06:58

love it smile

(& immediately think Ada Lovelace which is not a bad association!)

Coldtoeswarmheart Thu 05-May-16 21:07:29

Don't like it.

Winterbiscuit Thu 05-May-16 21:20:36

I like it.

PattyPenguin Thu 05-May-16 21:22:30

It was the name of one of my grandmothers, born around 1890. On that basis alone, due for a comeback.

ScarlettOverkill Thu 05-May-16 21:23:45

I got the idea from Peaky Blinders!

BettyBi0 Thu 05-May-16 21:27:15

Lovely. It's really underused compared to Ava etc

I love Alma too

butteredmuffin Thu 05-May-16 22:02:44

I like it.

I also like Ida (pronounced Eeda).

Sophronia Thu 05-May-16 23:46:16

I like it, it's a nice alternative to Ada. Also like Adah which is a Biblical name.

FlowerOfTheWest Thu 05-May-16 23:49:37

Love it! I only know of one wee Ada.

Littleroundtable Fri 06-May-16 00:01:15

I thought Ida was pronounced Eye-da

I like Ada

Better than Ava

Littleroundtable Fri 06-May-16 00:02:22

How would you spell the name that's pronounced eye-da?

mrsschu Fri 06-May-16 00:26:38

Hmmm it's ok, don't love it. Know a couple of them under 1.

amysmummy12345 Fri 06-May-16 00:30:27

DD1 was going to be Ada May after my dh granny, tempted to go with it for dd2

MadameDePompom Fri 06-May-16 00:43:19

It's very frumpy. Like Beryl and Doris.

NadiaWadia Fri 06-May-16 04:08:50

Littleround - I was sure that Ida was pronounced 'eye-da' too! At least in the UK, anyway.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion Fri 06-May-16 04:37:45

Love it.

butteredmuffin Fri 06-May-16 07:58:12

You can pronounce Ida either way but I don't think "eye-da" is very elegant!

BendydickCuminsnatch Fri 06-May-16 08:52:46

Our chosen girl's name (Adelaide for long). Loosely after Ada Lovelace!!

Alisvolatpropiis Fri 06-May-16 09:25:19

I like it. I know of two who would be pre-school sort of age. Not from the same areas.
