We went on a trip to Australia; there's a really beautiful bird - we feel in love with the name of it, so it's basically a nature name!

There was only 5 girls given the name in 2014, in the UK...

The name is Rosella...

I'm just not sure we are brave enough to use it though! I love that she could be called Rose/Rosie/Ella/Elle/Ellie, etc.

I'd call her by Rosella though, maybe Rose for short.

We have not told family yet, but I know my mum will hate it.

What do you think? If not, she'll probably be Darcy.

I really REALLY like it!! And I am quite traditional. Although it very unusual, the nick names are all very mainstream. And lovely. Don't tell your mum until the baby is here, it will be easier for her to stomach

It's lovely. I used to babysit a Rosella about 20 or more years ago! She will be nearly 30 now. I have never come across another one. It's a lovely name.
