useyourimagination Sat 16-Apr-16 11:54:41

I think it's a lovely name smile

TealLove Sat 16-Apr-16 11:55:17

I love it

IcedTin Sat 16-Apr-16 12:13:16

I find it a bit twee and don't really like it.

smartyclogs Sat 16-Apr-16 12:40:01

I like it and it was on my list for Dd2.

Can't help thinking of coronation street, sorry.

Much prefer Sadie

hownottofuckup Sat 16-Apr-16 12:47:03

It was number 982 last year apparently, SP definitely not popular.

I'm not keen on Sadie for some reason. When I was little I used to pretend I had 2 Dobermans called Dastardly and Sadie confused

Sophronia Sat 16-Apr-16 13:47:26

Makes me think of Coronation Street too. I prefer Sarah (which Sally was originally a nn for).

FiaMarrow Sat 16-Apr-16 14:09:56

Love it.

cecinestpasunepipe Sat 16-Apr-16 14:17:44

Love it! Makes me think of pigtails and gingham dresses.

One of my favourite names as a child - even named one of my sindys Sally too!

Ankleswingers Sat 16-Apr-16 21:03:17

Sorry but not feeling it. Makes me Think of Aunt Sally from Worzel Gummidge or Sally Webster from Corrie.

Sadie IMO is much prettier

mydogeatsnutstoo Sat 16-Apr-16 21:40:07

A bit middle aged, not awful but not very exciting.
I also like Sadie though sounds a bit like sadist.
There are nicer names!

Blimey, it was only yesterday evening I was thinking about Sally as a potential name - what a coincidence.

I think it's a lovely name but I'm not 100% sold on it (for me) and I don't know why. It's fresh but classic at the same time. I only know one Sally (mid-30s) - unfortunately people call her "Sal" which she really hates but she's too polite to correct them!

I like it. I also like Molly which I think has a similar feel.

Chickpeachick0 Sun 17-Apr-16 10:20:56

Lovely happy name !

DerelictMyBalls Sun 17-Apr-16 10:25:05

It's very 'dinner lady' and not in a good way.

Nibbl3s Sun 17-Apr-16 11:56:21

Reminds me of Sally Webster, sorryblush

MuddhaOfSuburbia Sun 17-Apr-16 12:05:02

Plus I have never EVER met a not nice one in rl

pilates Sun 17-Apr-16 12:11:43

Horrible, sorry

Vixxfacee Sun 17-Apr-16 12:51:17

One of the worst named ever imo!

MyKingdomForBrie Sun 17-Apr-16 12:56:05

Worst names ever?! Christ that's a bit much.

I love it, and it's unusual in kids at the moment!

cherrypiesally Sun 17-Apr-16 12:58:17

I'm a 'Sally'; there are very few of us. Have known a 'Sally Anne' and taught a Sallie last year. don't often get called Sal,( apart from by DH)! I like having a different name. bTw at 41 I think I'm nearly middle aged! 😢

Seekingmiracles Sun 17-Apr-16 21:58:53

I like it. We will use it as a middle name if we have a DD - dh's mums name.
As for those saying it's horrible - I've seen FAR worse on these boards, names that I see as being a lot more 'middle aged'.
