Dh loves Heidi I'm not 100% on it but have no other names in mind. It was supposed to be dd2s name but we changed mind at last minute .

What is your honest opinion on Heidi ? Be brutally honest please baby is due in 2 and a half weeks so need a name asap.

I think it's lovely. Very pretty but strong. What are you not sure about? Does it go with DD1s name?

Other 2dds are Lila and Emme I do like it but majority of people I have told have hated it confused in my drs words you can't call her that it's horrible blush it's not that bad is it ?

It's nice...makes a refreshing change.

I like it, would have used it but it got the veto!

I really don't like it. I'm sorry. I don't actually know why per se, but Kerry Katona naming one of her herd Heidi, certainly doesn't help.

I just think of Austrian children milking goats with plaits wrapped around their heads. But it does go with the other names. I think I'd only use it if I had a Germanic connection personally (which I do but that's obv irrelevant grin)

I love it. I know a very chic grown up German Heidi and it works well for an adult too.

I really like Heidi, very pretty name

I love it but my DH is Swiss would be a bit stereotypical!

mrsschu Mon 04-Apr-16 21:25:45

I like it. Not too popular but not too unusual either.

Sophronia Mon 04-Apr-16 21:46:58

I like it

Lovely pretty and elegant, and surprisingly under used. I'd say definitely go for it.

DramaAlpaca Mon 04-Apr-16 23:02:44

Brutally honest you say?

OK, I hate it. It sounds like a milkmaid to me.

But if you like it, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

Jojay Mon 04-Apr-16 23:05:26

I love it - I wish we'd used it for DD

I don't like it, sorry.

I know a lovely Swiss Heidi and she loathes her name - all the stereotyped associations with frolicking goat herding peasant girls rollicking around the Alps in their plaits etc.

SuburbanRhonda Mon 04-Apr-16 23:51:52

My own DD wants that for the daughter she may have in ten years! I love it.

louise2011 Tue 05-Apr-16 00:02:25

Honestly, I really dislike it & would say it's the total opposite of classy.

ThornyBird Tue 05-Apr-16 00:04:59

The only Heidi I have met is one of the kindest, most generous women I have ever met! smile

iyamehooru Tue 05-Apr-16 00:06:14

Love it. Unusual and can't really be shortened.
