Help

I have to register my little mans name in 2 hours and not sure what to call him, he's 7 weeks old so cannot extend with registrar.. Help

Short list was
Rex (too dog?)
Huxley (bit too unusual)
Zachary (bit American?)

We already have a Freya and a Zander as well as 2 little guys who were stillborn (Alex and Daniel) (think that's why it is so hard to name him)

Burgerbobismydad Fri 18-Mar-16 10:48:34

Zachary is lovely, but I like them all

PestoSkiissimos Fri 18-Mar-16 10:49:08

Firstly flowers

Out of your list I really like Zachary - and it can always be shortened to Zac smile

LeaLeander Fri 18-Mar-16 10:49:32

Zachary is too close to Zander perhaps? So Rex it is.

Max?

gunting Fri 18-Mar-16 10:50:02

Zachary smile

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost Fri 18-Mar-16 10:50:34

I'd go with Huxley.

FelliniMartini Fri 18-Mar-16 10:51:21

Choose Huxley. 100%
Plus Huxley goes really well with Freya and Zander. And although it's unusual, it's definitely a proper name and not unheard of! Congrats on your son smile

BeautifulLiar Fri 18-Mar-16 10:51:39

Rex, definitely

guerre Fri 18-Mar-16 10:51:51

Huxley is awesome, and fits nicely with all your others.
I'm sorry for your losses, but Congratulations on your son's birth.flowers

LeaLeander Fri 18-Mar-16 10:52:43

Huxley to me sounds too much like huckster. Plus way too nerdy.

PointlessUsername Fri 18-Mar-16 10:53:18

Huxley, I love it & goes well with your other dc names.

insan1tyscartching Fri 18-Mar-16 11:09:07

I think Zachary is too similar to Xander, of the other two I prefer Rex.

BettyBi0 Fri 18-Mar-16 11:29:27

Huxley is on my short list for DS due v soon. It seems to be a pretty Marmite name as people I've tried it out on either sang the Huxley pig song, or mention the clothing or restaurants chain which put off my DP but not me.

I think Zachary is ace too.

Good luck OP! I was at the wire for naming DD1 and know how much it can do your head in x

midnightlurker Fri 18-Mar-16 11:32:10

Huxley

Raines100 Fri 18-Mar-16 11:35:35

Congrats on your son m. flowers for your dad losses.

Zachary- love it! It is biblical so not American-sounding, and no one would bat an eyelid over an Ava and Amelia, so don't see Xander and Zachary being a problem.

Also like Rex. Huxley not so much.

Raines100 Fri 18-Mar-16 11:35:50

Sorry, I meant sad.

RockUnit Fri 18-Mar-16 13:08:03

Rex is quite nice.

Zachary is a lovely name but too close to Zander

Huxley is a cartoon pig.

Freya, Zander and...

Max
Leo
Harvey
Harrison
Luke
Tristan
William
Edward
James
Isaac

BendydickCuminsnatch Fri 18-Mar-16 13:18:23

What did you go with? I think they all go well with your other DC, hard decision!! flowers

Dextyboo Fri 18-Mar-16 13:22:10

i love huxley and zachary second

SirVixofVixHall Fri 18-Mar-16 13:25:15

Rex. I hate surnamey names like Huxley, which sounds more like a dog's name to me than Rex does. And Zachary is too trendy. Rex is an underused classic.
Oh and if it makes you feel better, we were down to 20 minutes before the appointment and dd2 still hadn't been named.

ProfessorPickles Fri 18-Mar-16 13:29:08

Really not keen on Rex or Huxley, Zachary is my personal favourite!
Hope you get a name sorted OP

Vixxfacee Fri 18-Mar-16 13:31:54

Huxley sounds very American and will date.

Rex is a dogs name.

Zachary is lovely but too close to Zander.

You should just choose which ever name YOU like. We all have different opinions and likes and dislikes.

I'd offer Leo, Max, Isaac and Eli

Sootica Fri 18-Mar-16 13:32:04

What did you go with OP? I liked all your choices

Sophronia Fri 18-Mar-16 13:32:49

Zachary

Nicnar Fri 18-Mar-16 13:38:46

Thanks for all your help

We got to our appointment and sat there blank faced.. Registrar has given us a 2 week extension, rather we made a choice we were both happy with than something we might regret which was nice of her
