My boyfriend is Alexander so that's fine (aleksander is fine too of course), I also like Dominik and Oskar.

I like Aleksandra, however I also like Matilda and Lydia, but not the spellings you have put.

The rest I'm personally not so keen on!

Actually I think these are all brilliant names.

You might get some comments on the (I assume) Polish spellings but actually they are all fairly easily managed.

I think some of the spellings are unusual and will lead to you or your child constantly having to spell out the name. That's a pain IMO. Maksymilian in particular.

Are they Slavic or similar names and is that why? If so and that's your heritage then I can see why, but I still think you will be spelling if in the UK. Even "Monika - no, with a k" is a bit annoying after a few years I'm guessing.

I like all the names tho Grin especially Oskar, Dominik and Matylda. I just would spell them Oscar, Dominic and Matilda.

Yes, they are Polish. My husband and I have lived in England for just 2 months. We have three children all with Polish names so want this baby to have Polish name too. The English spellings don't look right to me but I want my child to have an easy time in England so we will perhaps get used to the English spellings and use those instead.

Our three children are Zofia, Olaf (and people say he is a snowman) and Marta. All easy to spell.

I am Polish and have cousins called Dominik and Oskar Smile
If it is Polish names you are going for, I'm not overly keen on your girl's list (sorry! Blush) I do love:

  • Justyna (my sister's name!)
  • Karolina

-Katarzyna (mine, my mum's, and my sister's middle name)

Olivier is nice, izabela for a girl? If Aleksandra Will you use Ola as a shortened form?

They are all nice names and the spellings are fine, apart from maksymillion, it's just too alien to the English eye I think.

I vote Konrad & Monika.

Ah apologies OP, Polish makes more sense. I do see why you want to use a Polish name.

In that case I would go for Oskar or Monika which are not too different from the English spellings.

I teach a Karolina actually and it's fine tbh. Don't know if she has to spell it all the time tho.

Love them all but agree that Maksymilian looks the most usual. Would you shorten to Max or Maks?

I like Konrad and Monika Bert from your list. Your other children's names are also lovely, and you should definitely go with the Polish spelling!

Bert? Where did that come from?! that was supposed to say best!

I love Polish names. Children and adults I've met here with Polish names I like include Lucasz, Agnieska and Kinga. Apologies if those are spelt wrong!

Oh definitely keep to original spellings. People will learn to spell them properly.
I like Konrad, Dominika, Dominik, Oskar and Monika.

I like Oskar and Lidia best from your list. If you're going to go with Polish spellings (and I can see why you would), I think a shorter name is best. I love the name Maksymilian, but in English the spelling just looks too "out there".

I thought you would all say you hate the names. I am happy that they are liked.
