I love Tessa (Tess) the best.

Best wishes! flowers

I like esme best followed by natalia and then Jessica.
I've known a few dogs call tess and tessa so that would put me off, Nina always feels like a nn to me but I know it's not actually short for anything!

ThroughThickAndThin01 Thu 03-Mar-16 19:00:45

I love Tess, Jessica and Natasha.

Nina or Talitha

I like all of them, we must have similar taste! But top two are Nina and Esme ( which is on my list too - 4 weeks to go here)

Another for Tessa. Great name!

DontKillMyVibe Thu 03-Mar-16 20:16:15

Tessa or Esme would be my choices out of those options.

PenelopePitShop - what other names do you have on your list? I'm curious if we have a very similar taste!!

Homerun23 Thu 03-Mar-16 20:38:25

PenelopeChipShop - sorry! blush

I love Tess, am due in 5 weeks and would love to have it but partners not keen. We still haven't got a clue what to choose.

Nina - quite like
Tessa (Tess) - OK
Natasha - great
Natalia - great (you could have Nat or Talia as nickname)
Esme - the Ezz sound is harsh
Jessica - like
Talitha (Tali) - is it TAL-i-tha or Tal-ITH-a?

Homerun23 Thu 03-Mar-16 20:58:58

It is pronounced TAL-i-tha (same as Tabitha but with an L)

I love Nina, Esme and Tali

elevenweekstogo Thu 03-Mar-16 21:03:02

I vote for Nina. They are all lovely though.

Nina or Tess. Lovely, simple, timeless names. Jessica and Natasha a bit 80s for me, Esme is too popular and very 'now', and I don't like the sound of Natalia or Talitha.

BikeRunSki Thu 03-Mar-16 21:26:39

Nina and Tess/a were on our list for DD! Esme would have been too, apart from negative (personal) associations.

DD is not any of those names though.

NataliaOsipova Thu 03-Mar-16 21:28:14

Natasha is the diminutive form of Natalia, if that helps..... (think "War and Peace"). Tess smacks of Thomas Hardy, but is nice if you don't mind the connotation (Tess of the D'Urbervilles - hanged for murdering her rapist ex lover). Not sure this helps though....!

Tessa or Esme are my favourites from your list

Jessica Esme is lovely.

Jessie and Jess are also gorgeous.

I'm not sure how I feel about Tessa - feels like it Should be Teresa then shorten to Tessa? Otherwise I like it.

I prefer Thalia - instead of Natalia

MissTurnstiles Tue 08-Mar-16 20:29:58

Before reading your explanation upthread I think I would have pronounced Talitha ta-LEE-tha.

joyfulworld Thu 10-Mar-16 09:02:41
