Baby names

Are these names too twee/cute?

Emily, Sophie and Zoe?

Me and DH don't like strange names but nor do we like really common ones.

I can't tell if these names are too simple though?

They're nice.

I'm considering Kitty and/or Berry! Mum thinks they are cutsey pet names. Your choices are quite normal.

Definitely not all good solid names

They are perfectly normal, nice names. I wouldn't consider any of them twee or cutesy.

Emily & Sophie are quite popular, Zoe less so.

I hate Emily sorry, just reminds me of an old lady.
Unfortunately I told sil this when she was pregnant without realising she loved it so I put her off :(
Have said nothing since in rl.
Names are so personal and I'm sure plenty of people wouldn't like my dc names.. Go with what you both love

I have a Sophie who's 2.5. I was worried it would be really common but she's the only one at nursery (although I think there's a Sofia).

Sophie is very very popular. Prefer Emily myself

Nope, like them all! Love Zoe in particular - pretty but strong.

My DH prefers Zoe. Our son's name begins with an A and the juvenile side of him thinks it would be great to have A-Z names Grin

When we were pregnant with DS, before we found out the sex we liked Zoe for a girl so when we found out we were having a boy we disclosed our potential girl's name as Zoe and MIL absolutely hated it!!!

Sadly MIL has since passed away but I can't stop thinking of her reaction....

Zoe is lovely.

As are Emily and Sophie.

Emily and Sophie are both top 10 names and have been for many years so by default are common. Zoe less so and I certainly wouldn't describe any of these names as twee or cute.

My Mil hates my dds name but who cares; she's my child!

All good strong names but I'd go for Zoe too.

I only like Sophie but I don't think they're twee. Zoe is quite different these days.
Are you expecting another baby

I love Zoe.

I find Sophie a bit dull and I dislike Emily.

Zoe is a lovely name.
I like the A-Z names as well! You could have bookends all over the place 😀

I don't like Emily, and Sophie is lovely but overused.

I would go for Zoe.

I like Zoe but would use the umlaut so it's pronounced correctly. Zoë.

They are all great names, elegant, strong, good for a grown up names.

I particularly like Zoe, but the others are lovely too.

There's one of each in my DD's class all fantastic girls.

slithy, is there any other way to pronounce it but 'zo-ee'? (Genuine, not snarky)

Not awfully keen on Emily or Sophie. They're certainly not twee but they're quite dull IMO. I also know about a million Emily's under about 5. I know less Sophie's/Sophia's. I like Zoe and it's not too popular (yet anyway). In saying that I'd prefer any of these names to anything youneeq or very unusual!
