Need help choosing a boys nmy grampsalready have an Eleanor Jane and a Noah George and our surname is fisher. Both middle names so far are from my husbands side Jane was his mum who died a longtime ago and George was his grandfather. Now I'd like a middle name from my side but the choices are not great. Opinions grateful my received on the options below... Thanks.

Angus Wilfred Fisher after my gramps
Angus Hugh Fisher after my brother and paternal great grandad
Angus jonathan Fisher after my mums brother but also my husbands other grandad
Angus Scott Fisher my husbands middle name
Angus Philip Fisher after me...... Philippa
Angus Elijah Fisher... Our girls middle name choice would be Eliza after my grandma and mum and this is the closest boys version!
All ideas welcome!

  1. Wilfred
  2. Jonathan
  3. Elijah

Based mainly on how they sound within the full name.

My favourite is Angus Scott, but that really isn't a name from your side?

I'm surprised you're going with Angus! It has a really different feel to Eleanor and Noah Smile

Thanks to you all for comments! Very opinion helps! We have really struggled with the first name too, as there are lots I like that my hubbie doesn't eg Jacob, Jonah, ( a bit close to Noah) but seem to have settled on angus, shortened to Gus. Feel free to comment or suggest other combinations! I had wondered about Scott as the first name.....

Honestly, I prefer Scott to Angus... A boy I used to go to school with was called Angus and people laughed at his name... Id hate for that to happen to your little boy, but I admit, it depends where you are how kids are different now!

I actually really like Scott, you don't see many little ones and goes well with your other DC's names!

I've got not idea why someone named Angus would be laughed at, any more than anyone else would. Pretty sure the couple of Angus teens we know are happy with their name.
