Help me please! My husband and I just can't agree on a name for our daughter who will be here any day now. Our shortlist is

Cordelia
Orla
Charlotte
Sylvia
Elizabeth
Pippa
Nancy

Can you help us decide please? Any input, good or otherwise is most appreciated. X

Cordelia is the most beautiful name in the world to me.

I also think Orla is amazing.

Charlotte is pretty but overused.
Elizabeth is becoming tired imho
Nancy is a no from me. Makes me think of ants and 'Nancy boy'.

Orla/Orlaith is beautiful. Cordelia is lovely, but Orla is a classic name that doesn't have any negative literary connections.

Cordelia

Cordelia - not sure. Quite pretty but very fancy. Might become Cordy which I'm even less sure about.
Orla - don't like this, it always sounds like someone clearing their throat to me.
Charlotte - love it
Sylvia - quite like it - very elegant and classy
Elizabeth - not keen. I'm not sure why though.
Pippa - like it but would use Philippa on birth certificate.
Nancy - don't like this at all.

I'd choose Charlotte. And, if worried about popularity or princess, I'd go with Sylvia.
