what is your first association with the name Natasha?

Trying to find a middle name that's "proper" and appealing, to come after our slightly more quirky choice of first name. DH and I can't agree on any and baby is almost here. Thoughts on Natasha - is it nice, wearable and feminine, or a bit 80s? Can't tell any more

I love the name Natasha.
It's very wearable imo.

Well, you asked for associations so "they call her Natasha but she looks like Elsie...I don't wanna go to Chelsea" (shows age)

Sorry not helpful.Grin.

Not that keen really. Name of person I'm replacing at work. But that's personal, it's a nice name, I guess.

Honestly if by 'proper' you middle class I'd have to disagree.

Black Widow from the Avengers but that's specific to people into that genre!

I don't associate it with any specific class, I think it's a nice name

I think of a beautiful Russian spy saying throatily (in a very Russian accent, of course) "my name is Na-tash-a" shows age. Exotic.

Oh, I'm sorry to sound a bitch. But just to give my impression, I don't think it's a 'cool' name, I imagine someone quite frumpy.

IMy first thought on hearing it is the film 'true lies' where the female lead is being given her spy name and she hopefully asks for "Natasha" (nat-ar-shah) Grin

Asking for impressions but reminds me of a queen bee type in dd class (sorry)

I immediately thought a bit common but actually I teach a lovely Natasha and it may grow on me. The possibility of tasha as a nickname puts me off.

Natasha Kaplinkiplonk or whatever her name is.

It's a nice name....but I don't like the usual nn's.

It's a lovely Russian name! Also makes me think of Black Widow.

I think it's a lovely name! It's my friend's middle name; she has a very unusual first name and I think Natasha goes well with it. Anyone that thinks it's a certain class kind of shows their own hang ups imo
