Having just found out I'm carrying a third little boy, I just googled unusual 'boys names UK' (I feel I've rather exhausted more usual ones!).
It suggested Bender. Really? Unusual is right and I'm certainly not going down that road for ds3.
Any other suggestions out there that are not that way out, but not top 50 either? Would need to be something people have heard of and would know how to pronounce.
For guidance, I already have a Solomon and an Elijah.

I think you need to stick with the biblical theme!

What about Jairus? I love this name and would use it if I ever had another boy.

Abraham, Isaiah, Gideon, Mordecai, Judah, Thaddeus, Bartholomew, Zebedee...

And yes, please avoid Bender!! Benedict, perhaps?

PissPotPourri Sun 31-Jan-16 07:29:23

Yes, the biblical/Jewish theme was not intentional. We just seem to like them. I've never heard of Jairus, is it pronounced as written?
Zebedee still makes me think of Magic Roundabout 😁

I also like Benedict.
Zebedee (zeb)
flowers congratulations.
Definitely not Bender.

Eliezer (I love this, but maybe not with a brother caller Elijah)

Admittedly the last 3 are not unusual, but in keeping with the theme.

Thank you for your suggestions. We have considered Dominic, in fact ds2 nearly ended up as that except he didn't suit it. I also like Nathaniel.
The name I LOVE but can't have due to a close family member having the same name is Rory.
So it doesn't have to be biblical (we're both not believers by the way, just like the names!)

PissPotPourri Sun 31-Jan-16 08:39:18

Also, apologies to anybody out there with a Bender. Each to their own!

cosmicglittergirl Sun 31-Jan-16 08:49:48

Nathaniel is a good name, I like it.
I had Rory on my boys list, but only DDs so far. Rufus? Raefe?

I love nathaniel, and sticking with the inadvertent biblical theme, josiah is one of my favourite names (also love zebediah, a little ott but zeb as a nickname is very cool)

Thetruthfairy Sun 31-Jan-16 15:45:14

Rory is fab.

Laquila Sun 31-Jan-16 16:39:29

I have a Nathaniel and an imminent DS2, so following for ideas!

OP you might like Lawrence, Jacoby, Hendrik, Rowan.

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes Sun 31-Jan-16 16:42:01

I have a Zacharias and I know an Ezekiel, he goes by Zeek.

FrancisdeSales Sun 31-Jan-16 16:47:20

I was just going to suggest Zeek!

I find Luke is rare these days. Absolutely love Dominic. One of dd's (age 15) best friends is called Moses.

PissPotPourri Sun 31-Jan-16 17:57:56

Just typed and lost my post...ggrrrrr
It said i do quite like Lawrence, Luke is nice too, but an ex of mine!
Dominic and Nathaniel are definite contenders although DH is more in favour of Nathaniel.
Glad suggestions are not too bizarre or new American style which I really don't like.

PissPotPourri Sun 31-Jan-16 17:59:10

Also meant to say I was loving Amos, until somebody pointed out it can be said to rhyme with Anus.

PennyHasNoSurname Sun 31-Jan-16 17:59:34

Bender is hilarious!!!!

PissPotPourri Sun 31-Jan-16 18:00:03

I could double barrel him to be Amos Bender I suppose 😂

PissPotPourri Sun 31-Jan-16 18:00:54

Yes Rex is nice but can't help thinking dog

SweetieDrops Sun 31-Jan-16 18:05:36

Only go with Bender if you're going to use the full version of Bender Bending Rodriguez. Otherwise it will just sound daft grin.

SweetieDrops Sun 31-Jan-16 18:06:36

On a more serious note I think Noah would go well with your existing DCs.

PissPotPourri Sun 31-Jan-16 18:07:40

Good point Sweetie. And noted. 😁

alltouchedout Sun 31-Jan-16 18:07:51

Xenon? We came v v close to using that for ds3.

ThirtyNineWeeks Sun 31-Jan-16 18:08:32

I gave birth to Ezra six days ago..

I love Lucius (New Testament) and Judah.
