I like Maisie.

But I do like the song 'hey there Delilah'...

Stephieee Fri 29-Jan-16 23:07:34

Not keen on the Maisie spelling! I don't like the double i smile

MissAlabamaWhitman Fri 29-Jan-16 23:07:51

Maisie is common.
Delilah has unfortunate connotations.

I love Delilah.

Don't like either but if I had to choose
It would be Maisie

Stephieee Fri 29-Jan-16 23:12:59

It wouldn't be Maisie smile

MissAlabamaWhitman Fri 29-Jan-16 23:14:44

What's the difference phonetically between Maisie and Maisy?

Is Maisy pronounced Macey?

MissAlabamaWhitman Fri 29-Jan-16 23:16:13

Jonah is such a lovely name OP.
How about Magdalene/ Magda/ Magdalena.

Stephieee Fri 29-Jan-16 23:17:48

Nothing is different, I just don't like the double i smile MissAlabama - not really in love with those names, but thank you!

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost Fri 29-Jan-16 23:19:10

If you want it pronounced May-See as apose to May-Zee then you're best off spelling it Macy, Maycie Maicee, as Maisy will be taken for May-Zee

Stephieee Fri 29-Jan-16 23:21:15

No, I want it said as May-zee smile

justjodie92 Fri 29-Jan-16 23:23:33

Definitely Delilah!

MissAlabamaWhitman Fri 29-Jan-16 23:23:49

If it's a toss up between the two I think that Delilah chimes better with your sons name, which as I said is gorgeous.

I can't warm to any variant of Maisy I'm afraid.
Believe me I've tried as a variant is my DNs name blush

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost Fri 29-Jan-16 23:25:23

Maisy will be pronounced May-Zee

Stephieee Fri 29-Jan-16 23:26:35

That's how I want it said?

Maisie / Maisy is extremely popular (I work in a primary school) but if you're ok with that, go for it.

Deeply dislike Maisie.

PufflesMC Sat 30-Jan-16 20:34:09

Delilah. Not keen on Maisie or Maisy.

PooDogMillionaire Sun 31-Jan-16 11:59:19

Delilah is a more beautiful name, Maisy is cute and nickname-y.
