For some reason Gregory has suddenly grown on me. You hardly hear it belonging to anyone under 45.

I think it is due a revival. It is also a classic, but a neglected one.

I love it! It's my childhood teddy bears name (owned for 20 years and very precious to me!) or I'd have considered it myself. My family would have teased me for naming my child after the bear though.

I've always liked it. The youngest one I know is in his early thirties.

I love Gregor which is pretty common here (Scotland)

Pressed too soon! I like Gregory too...

Looooooooooove!! My DH makes sarcastic sausage roll comments (Greggs) whenever I mentioned it though. Sigh.

I know 2 boys called Gregor. Both age 11/12.

Lucked Tue 26-Jan-16 23:38:33

I prefer Gregor but Gregory is also an underused nice name.

Sophronia Tue 26-Jan-16 23:51:06

I know a Gregory who goes by Rory as a nn

Gregory... What a beautiful, beautiful name.
I prefer Gregory to Gregor.
Gregory. It's refreshing to see such a handsome, timeless name.
Time to revive it OP. smile

Another Scot voting for Gregor.

tinofbiscuits Wed 27-Jan-16 09:05:05

I agree it's due a revival.

I love Gregory but mainly because I had a crush on a lovely Greg when I was a student. Great name.

BendydickCuminsnatch Wed 27-Jan-16 09:21:27

Yep. I suggested Gregory to somebody on here a year or 2 ago - she used it and thanked me! Made my life. I mean, how cool that there's a litter Gregory running around after I suggested it??? Love the name.

Gregory is a lovely name, but the inevitable nickname 'Greg' is unfortunately less pleasant.

sofato5miles Wed 27-Jan-16 10:40:39

I love it! Was on my list.

CrystalMcPistol Wed 27-Jan-16 10:55:38

Just to add a dissenting voice, I think it's really dreadful. As is Gregor.

Twinkie1 Wed 27-Jan-16 11:09:48

Love it.

I know one who is now 21 and he's a lovely lovely young man.

I may have different feelings if he were a shitbag though.

cecilelliott Wed 27-Jan-16 19:32:53

This is a lovely name! And reminds me of Gregory House (swoon...)

Go for it!

Raines100 Wed 27-Jan-16 20:35:08

I have a Gregory. Only one in his year group. Have had some lovely comments, and he loves his name. Best name ever! grin

JellyTotCat Wed 27-Jan-16 20:36:41

I like it.

FfionFlorist Thu 28-Jan-16 15:06:34

Beautiful, classic. Gregory Peck ...shows great age

JingsAndCrivens Fri 29-Jan-16 00:31:27

Yikes! Awful name. I can see why it's been neglected.
