Hi all

We need a boy and girl name for twins... I don;t want anything too popular, having said that James is the only boys name we agree on so it will have to be that which i know is popular.

What do you think of our girl name choices? any other suggestions?

Penelope
Vivienne
Emma

Also meant to stay that anything will go with James, it's a great name. Best of luck.

Emma

I'd say that James is timeless rather than popular. I think I only know 1 amongst my dc's peers (they are 4 and 7). Now Issac, Oliver and Zac.., they're popular.

Sorry, but why do people keep spelling Isaac, Issac? Bugs me sooo much

Love your choices. Penelope is my fave. Have you considered Eliza? For no reason other than I like how James and Eliza sounds! Grin

Sorry for mispelling Isaac, I know how to really and it bugs me too! My phone defaults to the "ss"'spelling as DS has a friend "uniquely" called Issac. Sorry, sloppy posting Blush

Not mad on your choices, I'd choose Emma.

What About:-

Iris
Heather
Tessa

(like the suggestion of Eliza)

As a mother of a James, I applaud your choice :) it's always been a top 10 name which means it won't date...

My girls names would be Catherine, Hannah, Elizabeth, Rachel. All fall into the timeless category...

Of yours, I'd choose Emma.

James is a great name, lovely choice! Congratulations Flowers

Vivienne is my favourite from your list.

I'd wanted to suggest Elizabeth (nn Betty?) too. It has so lovely many short forms, all of which work as well with James as the full name does.

Excellent choice Wink it's nice to see a thread where James is called "timeless" rather than boring.
I like Vivienne from your list, but really like Eloise as previously suggested.

Remember you might call them X & James, not just James & X as you don't know which will be born first

Excellent point nephro. I knew twins Alice and Grace-everyone thought Alice was Alison when introduced together, for example.

I like Emma and Penelope. I don't know of any young Penelopes but like it with nickname Penny.
