Not heard of a Scott in a while

Nah. It's of an era with Brett/Jason/Troy/Bradley. Best left there, IMO.

ootsideinbacktaefront Sun 17-Jan-16 15:12:30

I think its a lovely name smile

Vixxfacee Sun 17-Jan-16 15:13:55

No but troy mentioned above is nice.

DangerMouth Sun 17-Jan-16 15:15:45

I like it. But then l like all of Koala's names grin

Kingfisherfree Sun 17-Jan-16 15:17:05

I think it's OK.

KoalaDownUnder Sun 17-Jan-16 15:18:42

grin Danger, they were all v common boys' names in 1980s Australia. I had loads in my classes, along with the more classic Matthews/Thomases/Daniels, etc. I think that's why they make me shudder!

Am fascinated to know which other names people would like, now. How about

sugarplumfairy28 Sun 17-Jan-16 15:28:17

I think Scott is a very plain name, but then I do like the more uncommon names. DS is Miller, but also like Sailor, Ryder, and Turner.

Doublebubblebubble Sun 17-Jan-16 15:31:15

I love Scott. Think it's lovely x

MagpieCursedTea Sun 17-Jan-16 15:32:39

It would've been my name if I'd been a boy, I was born in the 80s though. I still think it's a nice name.

CharleyFarleyy Sun 17-Jan-16 15:33:30

Beam me up Scotty grin

I love but I am a Trekie so i may be biased smile

TheCatsMeow Sun 17-Jan-16 15:34:17

I personally love Bruce Koala and if I have another DS I want to call him that

Don't like the others though. Scott is okay

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Sun 17-Jan-16 15:36:19

I really like it.

DorotheaHomeAlone Sun 17-Jan-16 15:40:03

Naughty boys from my 80s primary school spring to mind.

DangerMouth Sun 17-Jan-16 15:43:13

I'm an Aussie too Koala which is why l think l like them slightly homesick. But l don't like any from your second list. That's just pushing the envelope too far smile

iciclewinter Sun 17-Jan-16 15:57:09

Neighbours in the 80s

Or even, exactly.

OneMagnumisneverenough Sun 17-Jan-16 16:05:27

I know Scott's of all ages but I am in Scotland smile

It doesn't sound dated at all to me as it's just one of those names that is always about.

Sophronia Sun 17-Jan-16 16:36:37

It's not a favourite of mine, but I think it's a good name.

DontKillMyVibe Sun 17-Jan-16 18:13:55

The only Scott I know is a man in his mid 30s who drives a white Suburi and wears and earring

squoosh Sun 17-Jan-16 18:22:07

So many Scotts in Scotland.

Calling a Scot Scott always strikes me as being so very unimaginative.

Lizziedripping1 Sun 17-Jan-16 18:43:12

Went to school, with loads of Scott's they all turned out to be criminals or on the dole so I don't have any good associations with the name

Sunshine511 Sun 17-Jan-16 19:45:29

I'm sorry to say, I'm really not a fan. Not to my taste at all x
