Our first baby is due tomorrow. We don't know the sex and have not told a soul about our name choices and now I'm just curious as to how they'll go down!
BOY - Theo Louis
GIRL - Ruby Erin

What's your opinions? ! Thanks :)

I think they're fine.

I'm not a fan of Ruby personally, but there is nothing wrong with it.

They're both lovely - will carry your child through to adulthood with dignity. Congratulations :)

I like Ruby Erin. Not really a fan of Theo but nothing wrong with it!

Both are lovely. I prefer Erin Ruby as the order though as it sounds a bit Ruby Earring.

I like them both. Ruby wouldn't be my choice, but it goes well with Erin.

I prefer Theodore to Theo, but you've chosen lovely names :)

Thanks all for the feedback. It's not something that I've thought about for weeks and now it's just dawned on me today that this name will be with the child forever and suddenly I've panicked that they're not nice names :-)
At least it's stopping me from stressing about child birth for a while Sad x

Starbores - Louis is a family name (great grandad, grandad and brother) or I'd have loved it as a first name. Just can't really pick my brothers name as he Is still very young so it's a little too close to home :)

Ah right shame as its lovely. Theo is nice I just think it could be more faddy than classical and I suppose it depends if that bothers you?

I like both your boy and girl names. Smile

My first was a week past the due date, he took his own sweet time. These days he is very keen on punctuality. All the best x

I instantly thought of Ruby Earring too but lovely names.

I like Theo and Ruby. Not particularly keen on the middle names.

PotOfYoghurt · 12/01/2016 19:17

Ruby Earring was the first thing I thought of too.

If it bothers you, and it may well not, you could add an extra middle name in between the two.

Or the baby will be born with a penis and you'll have no worries!

Good luck and congratulations

Thanks

I like Ruby but not a fan of Theo. it's really important, however, that you do not care what other people in RL think! As soon as you announce the name people will like it and if not they will get used to it

No I don't. It's just a difference of opinions though.
