Sebastian. Oliver is extremely popular. Sebastian is fairly popular but nowhere near at the level of Oliver x

Oliver x

Sebastian, but biased as its DS middle name! Both names are great though, and very international.

Oliver smile

Oliver for me.

I guess it depends on whether you'd rather he got called Ollie or Seb, and which works best with his last name.

100% Oliver smile Ollie is a lot nicer than Seb... Oliver is just so handsome!

Sebastian - Oliver is ridiculously popular, and Ollie is a bit wet. I know a few Sebastians and it is definitely on the up but nowhere near as popular yet.

Sebastian . I think Oliver is a bit boring and wet.

Meg3112 Tue 05-Jan-16 21:44:36

Seb is more wet...

Sebastian!! Gorgeous name.

Oliver is nice but very popular and, Ollie? Nah!

Sophronia Tue 05-Jan-16 23:49:27

Sebastian - it's more interesting

Whatsername24 Tue 05-Jan-16 23:54:21

Sebastian. Husband had a 23 year old nephew called Oliver and he's an obnoxious twat so it's put me off the name.

Oliver is such a lovely name, but , yes, v v popular.

Sebastian is less popular but still a handful around.

If popularity doesn't bother you, I would pick Oliver

JenniferAnistonsHair Wed 06-Jan-16 20:17:42

I prefer Sebastian, but I suppose it depends which sounds better with your surname, & also with any siblings names (if this isn't your first)...

Pagetta Wed 06-Jan-16 22:02:50

both are lovely but as everyone says, Oliver is the top boys name at the minute so there are a LOT of olivers and Ollies about!

I love sebastien its on our boys list :-)

Where do you all live to come across Sebastian's...seem few and far between near us...thanks everyone! !

nellyflora Thu 07-Jan-16 14:29:44

Oliver is the nicer name but popular. I actually know more Sebastian's than Oliver's strangely but that is perhaps even just a fluke. Go with your favorite

CormoranStrike Thu 07-Jan-16 19:39:13

The last two babies born in my circle are Oliver, so I say Sebastian.

mydogeatsnutstoo Sun 10-Jan-16 13:22:34

Counted on the pegs in my kids' fairly small nursery the other day 3 Olivers, an Ollie, 2 Olivias and a Hollie for good measure! There is one Sebastian. Oliver will be the Steve of the future!
