We both love this name but I feel it's a bit heavy for everyday use.

Ise or Siah don't work for me, are there any alternatives I've overlooked?

Iz
Izzie - though generally female for Isabel or Lizzie

Ize - yes
Siah - doesn't work for me. Female singer who always hides her face (Sia)

Zac - not really isaiah, but Isaiah is very similar to Isaac

Zi /Xi

It's a tricky one....

I had thought Zac. It's nice, but I'm not sure I like it quite enough.

What do you think about Ziggy?

Ice, Ike, Zay.

But the Isaiah I know goes by the whole name. He's 5.

Si is fairly common on the US.
Are you thinking Zac as a nn for Isaiah? I'm confused.

Ziggy is nice, but it makes me wonder why you don't call him Sigmund instead?

twitter Sigmund has been vetoed by DH, as has Siegfried Sad

Lucy you're right that Zac is a bit of a stretch from Isaiah.

The other 2 dc have biblical names so Isaiah is a good fit.

Love this name. Dh is obsessed with being able to shorten names to 'something cool' I'm thinking Zye??
Ike also awesome!

I think we're set on Isaiah nn Ike! We had two others we were trying to choose between but couldn't decide, neither felt quite right. This is ideal.
