I don't think so. DD (early 20s) did go to school with one Sarah, I remember, but only one, whereas when I went to school there'd be a couple in every class.

Maybe there are more in the USA. I noticed in the film 'Gravity' Sandra Bullock's character mentioned she had a young daughter called Sarah, also another young Sarah was mentioned in some other US show I was watching. Just like 'Claire' seems fairly popular over there for little girls, but over here most people will say it is dated.

I think the reason is that there were just so many girls named Sarah born in the 60s, 70s and 80s (maybe) as well, and it just got overused over here, so people might think of it as dated. It remains a lovely name though, IMO, so if you like it, why not? You could start a new trend!

Coincidentally, both DD1 (14) and DD2 (12) had a best friend called Sarah at primary school.

So that's two young (ish) ones!

Close friend of mine has a Sarah, aged 6.

Can't think of any others though DD2 has a Sara in her class, also age 6.

A few of my Irish friends have a Sarah, it's a top 10 name there. I don't know any in the UK though.

Yes I actually know four or five teenage Sarahs!

But interestingly none in the 21-30 or 0-12 age bracket!

There is a Sarah in DS's class - aged 7. I think it's a pretty timeless name. It's DD's (5) middle name.

I know around 101 (grossly exaggerated) Sarah's and I love all of them. Sarah is an excellent name.

Beautiful, beautiful name but yes I don't know any young ones. A classic name that is currently relatively unusual, I think that's a win on every count.

I don't know any young ones, but a LOT in the 25-35 age bracket. It was very popular in the 80s.

Still a very pretty name though.

I went to school with a few Sarahs but am very old Grin. It's a beautiful name, and 2 x great songs for you to play to her as she grows up (Fleetwood Mac and Thin Lizzy). Know no-one under the age of 40 called Sarah.

I live in the Middle East and it's a very popular name for Arab children over here (usually spelt Sara but pronounced Sarah). It's my name so I think it's pretty awesome. Also it means Princess which I have always loved.

I know a 3 year old Sarah. It's fine if a tad dull (and I say this as someone who has similar type name which was popular in the 70s/80s). Sounds a bit dated to me but fine.
