Ewart?
(40 Posts)Baby is going to be here Friday if all goes to plan with induction. Did have our name sorted if it was going to be a boy which was Kester but husband has done a u turn and think it clashes with our surname which is the same as a very famous comedian whose first name is billy.
So we have thought of Ewart tonight.
What are peoples thoughts on the name.
Sorry wrong forum, I shall get HQ to put this, somewhere else.
It's very unusual I've never heard it before. To be honest first thing that comes to mind is a variation of Stuart/Stewart.
I honestly prefer Kester and if the comedian is "the big man" himself in think that sounds fine!
Tbh, thinking ahead, kids can be cruel so I'd probably avoid anything with, 'Ew!', 'Wart' or, 'Ewww! Wart!' There are a hundred names that could be based on Ewart and none of them are kind.
Wyatt?
Ah it's okay, you're pregnant so pregnancy
it is
I personally don't like it, but it does go well with your surname.
If you don't like the two hard consonants, then what about Lester? It's the same sound but without the K.
Yes, along the lines of Ewart are:
Wyatt, stuart/stewart, everett/evert/everard, edward, edmund/edmond, eael or ayleward
Shit, Earl not eael
Hi, we're moving this thread over to our Baby Names topic now.
fanjodisfunction we hope it all goes smoothly on Friday.
Good luck for Friday...I think Ewart will be misheard as Stewart. How about Euan
I second the good wishes and lovely cuddles with a new born.
I prefer Stuart or Euan. I've never heard of Ewart as a name, I live overseas, hang out in the Irish pub, so Cian I like.
Have fun with your baby!
Kester is much nicer and sounds fine with the surname.
How about Stewart or Ewan?
"What's you name?"
"Ewart"
"you what?"
"Ewart"
"Stewart?"
"Ewart"
"STEWART?"
pmsl @ Mellicauli.
Just no, to OP, No to Ewart. I know boy names are tough, but you can do this. Keep working on it.
Dislike Ewart. Euan is nice though! Good luck for Friday
I haven't head of Ewart and don't like it. How about Ewan, Evan, Stuart?
Kester and Kit seem to be the trendy nicknames for Christopher at the moment but I much prefer just Chris.
U wart is all I hear sorry :/
E-Wart
That's what they'd call him in high school.
Kester's much nicer! Or Euan, Lachlan, even Stewart (a fine classic name).
I just see Ew Wart. Nope. Not a fan.
Please don't do that to your tiny little baby...it's not even a name that would suit a grown man more it's just horrible
I'm sorry, all I can see there is 'wart.' It's just too prominent. Stuart is much better, if you want something similar-sounding.
I thought wart and then thought it sounds a bit like Ewok...
I see Ewart and think 'you what?'.
Sorry
I like it and don't foresee issues around 'ew Wart' etc. It's a Scottish surname, quite distinct from Stuart, and there is a tradition of using surnames as for names here. I do prefer Kester though and really, it's fine with your surname.
No not a fan, sorry. However I think it's the spelling as apose to the pronunciation. It just looks like Eee Wart to me. IYSWIM. How about an alternative spelling such as Euart.
I think I'm going off it now, I really like kester but it means Christopher and dh has a brother called this and we'll we don't get on. So I'm going off kester too.
I really like
Innes
Magnus
Boyd
Reid
My DS is called Lachlan so needs to go with that.
