I've name changed, because I can get too easily worked up on Baby Names when they are close to my heart. Blush Need to be calm, need to be calm.

Considering for an imminent ds:

Atlas
Patrick
Benedict
Reuben
Wolfgang (dp's choice...)

I particularly love Atlas, but am conscious of the general ribbing it might get...

I like Benedict best (DH vetoed it)

Atlas wouldn't particularly raise eyebrows where I live. I like it.
There was a Mum at school last year who a baby Wolfgang, she called him Wolfie most of the time. My friend thought he was called Wolfpack, I didn't correct her as it used to make me chuckle to myself too much.

We've liked Reuben for ages, but it's getting v popular now I think? Not that I really mind that, but it does feel somehow less ours. That sounds annoying, sorry.

Not Atlas.
Benedict and Reuben are a bit overused at the moment.
I'd go for 'Patrick Wolfgang'. In fact, I love it.

I don't think Atlas is all that outrageous. However I just don't like how it sounds. Do you like any other classic Greek names?

Really dislike Reuben (apart from the sandwich). It's massively popular here. Every single boy under 4 here seems to be Reuben or Noah.

Absolutely love Patrick and Benedict. Wolfgang is pretty cool and Wolfie is a great nn.

Edward Norton's son is called Atlas.

I like Patrick best from your list.

I love Patrick. Like them all, aside from Rueben. IMO. It's the one of the most horrible boys names there is. But that is just my personal opinion.
Atlas I think is somewhat pretty. And IMO, again this is only my opinion, is more suited to a girl. Wolfgang is a great name, but I don't know if I'd be brave enough to use it.

I feel quite sad at letting go of Reuben, I've pictured myself with one for ages... But it does seem to be going the way of Noah, which I really dislike.

Hmm. I'm not sure of Patrick Wolfgang - thinking of John or David for the middle name Grin

Atlas would be awful if he turned out to be a 7 stone weakling when he grows up!!!

Yes, that's something we've considered. Who can tell?? I'm small, dp is is tall and rather broad...what a gamble..

Yeah, I like Wolfric and Wolfram better than Wolfgang I think.

I like Benedict, then Reuben. Patrick is OK. Not keen on the others.

Magnus is a mighty name (means Great), but quite unassuming in Britain.
I quite Ulrich too.

Benedict is nicest from your list.

Love Wolfgang (nearly had a Wolfie!) and Atlas perhaps even more. Atticus?
