We're still TTC but me and DP have been discussing name options...

Do you like it or does it remind you of the lion king? smile

Very much so, but that doesn't mean it's not pretty.

Lottiedaydreambeliever2014 Sun 01-Nov-15 16:42:12

It does make me think of the lion king.

Totally Lion King.
Sister for Simba?

fastdaytears Sun 01-Nov-15 16:47:21

I immediately thought Lion King before I read your post.
I did love the Lion King though and it's a pretty name. Where does it come from? (pre Lion King!)

NaughtToThreeSadOnions Sun 01-Nov-15 16:52:45

It's also zoellas dog

I know a Nahla, inspiration was the lion king, but no-one makes the connection
I think it's lovely.

Definitely Lion King.
It's pretty but that association would be just too much for me.

LetThereBeCupcakes Sun 01-Nov-15 17:17:55

I used to help run a brownie pack and all of the helpers were named after Disney characters. I was Nala. None of the parents realised it wasn't my real name and none batted an eyelid when I was introduced. This was 10 years ago when lion king was still quite recent. If you like it, use it!

Peaceloveandpartyrings Sun 01-Nov-15 17:22:57

It makes me think of Alan, which is not terribly feminine grin

SoftBlocks Sun 01-Nov-15 17:26:27

I've never seen The Lion King, Nala is quite nice. Rose is a bit hard sounding and very popular at the moment.

I never even thought of the lion king until you mentioned it. Me and dp are at the TTC stage.--Been there 2+ years don't think it's ever going to happen--thlangry.
And I know from experience you'll go through 100s of names. Well at least we are. We change our mind every week. or keep running and ahhring over our short list.
