Cassia or Kezia?
Or neither?

Our short list has turned into a long list - I nevr imagined choosing a name would be so difficult!

RiverTam Thu 29-Oct-15 20:28:32

Kezia. Isn't that the name of the little Romany girl in Rumer Godden's The Diddakoi? Her nn was Kizzy.

turdfairynomore Thu 29-Oct-15 20:33:03

I've taught a Keziah- nn Kizzy. I love it! Cassia is like Casio calculators? Or like cassis? Keziah or kezia would be my preference.

Cassia is lovely!

Mrsindecision Thu 29-Oct-15 21:05:35

What about Kasia - pronounced
"Kash-er"?

Maplessglobe Thu 29-Oct-15 21:07:49

I love both. Same root meaning, I believe. Sorry that's not helpful!

DramaAlpaca Thu 29-Oct-15 21:11:53

Kezia or Keziah.

Bloomsberry Thu 29-Oct-15 21:13:32

Kezia.

ashesandfire Thu 29-Oct-15 22:32:20

I like both but I think there are pn issues with both?
Cass-ee-ah or Cash-ah
Kez-EYE-ah or KEZ-ee-ah

Vixxfacee Thu 29-Oct-15 22:34:56

Cassia cassie ah

CakeRattleandRoll Fri 30-Oct-15 09:22:18

I like both. Probably prefer Cassia, pronounced Cash-uh.

MitzyLeFrouf Fri 30-Oct-15 11:31:52

I prefer Kasia.

MitzyLeFrouf Fri 30-Oct-15 11:32:58

Or Cassia if it's pronounced Cash-uh. Cass-ee-a doesn't sound half as nice.

MrsCaecilius Fri 30-Oct-15 12:22:33

Cassia. So pretty!

KateBeckett Fri 30-Oct-15 12:36:36

I know a little Quessia and she is adorable.

I think I prefer Cassia from your list, but only if pronounced cass-ee-uh.

celtictoast Fri 30-Oct-15 12:48:01

Cassia

celtictoast Fri 30-Oct-15 12:48:18

Pronounced Cass-ee-a.

eatmytoes888 Fri 30-Oct-15 20:03:02

Cassia easily. Love it. cass -ee-uh

ThroughThickAndThin01 Fri 30-Oct-15 20:07:25

Kezia

scatterthenuns Fri 30-Oct-15 20:23:45

Cassia. Cass is a fantastic nickname.

mathanxiety Sat 31-Oct-15 03:12:51

Kezia. I would spell it Keziah and pronounce it KEE-zee-ah, not Kezz-eye-ah.

IoraRua Sat 31-Oct-15 14:58:32

Cassia does remind me a bit of calculators.
So, Kezia!

Pixi2 Sat 31-Oct-15 15:01:36

Kezia.

scarevola Sat 31-Oct-15 15:07:19

Keziah

And I would pronounce it Kezz-eye-a (as that's how I've always heard it in Bible readings). Then you could go on to have a Jemima. Though Keren-Happuch never caught on so much.

Maplessglobe Sun 01-Nov-15 18:46:48

Hmmm I always thought it was kez-ee-ah. Any Hebrew speakers to clarify?
