Lucas
Oli
Tio / Teo
Rafael / Rafe
Remy
Louis
Finn
Lucien

Thank you! x

I like rafael and lucine

Louis is nice. Lucas is too popular as is Finn.

Rafael and Lucien are my top picks.

Tio is Spanish for uncle.

Teo is short for Teodor, the Eastern/Northern European name so this is not very French. You would spell it Theo with an accent above the 'e' but pronounce it Teo in France.

Anyone I've known named Rafael uses "Raffa" as a diminutive, not Rafe. In England, that won't sound quite right.

Frederic is also a nice French name.

Detest Lucas. I just don't like the sound of it very harsh Plus very over used
Don't like Remy. Bit effeminate, do you not think.
Tio is nice.
Don't like Oli. No reason just not to my taste.
Don't like Rafael again nothing wrong but just don't like the sound of it. I know it's one of the arch angels but it just makes me think of the Teenage Mutant ninja turtles.
Finn is one of those names where I don't know if I like it or not.
Love Louis. And it suits you right through life. Louie is gorgeous nn and Louie Armstrong is an amazing association.
Lucien is gorgeous.

The French spelling is Raphael.

I query your French spellings OP.

Lucas - nice

Oli - not a name. What's wrong with Oliver? Works in Eng and Fr

Tio / Teo Not an English nor a French name, though Theo is, and is also nice

Rafael / Rafe Again, not Eng nor Fr. Raphael is better - works in both languages

Remy - I like it

Louis - pronounciation would be different in Eng and Fr. OK if you can cope with that

Finn - not very French, but pronouncable, I think it's quite popular in English atg

Lucien - sounds a bit wimpish in English. Might work in French.

NB some of those names need accents or diaeresis if you're writing them in French, but I expect you know that.

Love Teo, and if that is how you want it pronounced, then that is how you should spell it. Using Théo is just asking for a lifetime of mispronunciation.

Really like Rafael and Louis. Not keen on your others.

MrsLeighHalfpenny Tue 04-Aug-15 11:17:43

Ilive... Louis Armstrong is spelled Louis, not Louie. The English pronounciation of Louis is "Lewee". In French its "Loo-ess".

Sophronia Tue 04-Aug-15 11:39:52

I like Lucas, Rafael, Remy, Louis and Lucien.

Oddpet Tue 04-Aug-15 15:46:58

I'd go for Louis or Raphael. Not keen on the rest sorry

Dreya Tue 04-Aug-15 20:03:16

I love Finn and really like Raphael/Rafe. I'm going to suggest Gabriel. Sounds wonderful with a French accent and is top of my names list should Dc3 be a boy smile

Hopesicles Tue 03-Nov-15 00:04:08

Louis and Finn are my favourites smile x

Narp Tue 03-Nov-15 16:47:14

Raphael/Rafael - love it a lot

or

Lucien

Lucas and Finn are very popular

celtictoast Tue 03-Nov-15 18:50:27

Lucas - a bit frilly, prefer Luke
Oli - I thought it was "oil" at first glance! Olly or Ollie are nice nicknames for Oliver but I wouldn't use them without the full version.
Tio / Teo - not sure, what about Theo?
Rafael / Rafe - too frilly
Remy - don't know how to pronounce (Reemy? Remmy? Rayme?)
Louis - not keen
Finn - don't like
Lucien - like (and maybe with Luc as nickname?)
