Hi, we have struggled to choose a name for the baby boy Im expecting. Had a few ideas but they are all quite popular in the UK at the moment. Our toddler has latched onto one of the names......what do you think of Henry David Pickering? (David is my late father-in-law's name, so cant be changed).
Thank you!x

I have a Henry so completely bias and love it! It really suits a toddler and translates well into an adult. Good choice wink

Lovely name, sounds great.

All names sound nice together, they flow well which is perhaps why your toddler has picked up on them.

I like Henry. Sounds lovely with all the names together.

Can't stand Henry. Just different opinions though.
But the names do go well together,

It's lovely. It sounds as if it goes together if you see what I mean.

I wouldn't be influenced by a toddler though!

I really like Henry, it is really really popular where I live though, which might put me off a little bit.

Henry is nice but getting popular these days. Nickname Harry also popular. Does that bother you? Otherwise the name sounds perfectly inoffensive! Nothing remarkable.

Loved the name Henry 10 years ago now unfortunately you can't move for them. He will be probably be known as Henry P in school. The popularity would put me off but lots of ppl don't mind that

Depends where you are. I'm in the North West, and a primary school teacher- yet to see any Henry's coming through, even in the 2 year old nursery.
I'm having Henry as my boy's middle name. Lovely, solid name.

I know a 9 month old Henry - it's a lovely name xxx my toddler chose his brothers name too (jack) so I totally know that actually it's quite tricky to tell the older brother that u won't be going with their choice smile

Lovely name.

It's fine, if a little dull. Safe and fairly timeless. Henry could be any age really.

marinacortina Sun 02-Aug-15 12:06:30

It's fine, but I would reverse the names. I like David better than Henry, and it would be a lot less common currently.

I have a Henry David! Great choice

Treesandbees Sun 02-Aug-15 21:56:36

I'm in SW and haven't met any other Henry's my sons age (2) or younger! So don't think it's as popular here as in some other areas.

Hate Henry (posh and horrid to my ears) but love David.

Lovely name, Henry is my top pick for a boy too

You can't go wrong with Henry.
